hey guys,
i need some help.i have a gt with sunrays sport pack. my problem is that when either turn signal is applied and the, taillights are also on, the turn signals work as they should but either side also bleeds into the tail light filaments, thus creating turn signals clear across the rear of the car. the turn signals, right or left light brightly as they should, while all the tail light filaments blink dimly.
i would appreciate any help.
thanks,

Hey Guys,
Once again I need your help. Can anyone tell what kind of adhesive was used to hold the taillights into the body. Also can anyone direct me to a set of the original Sun Ray instructions for installing the sport pak on the GT.
Thanks in advance for your help.

Hey god,
Yes the car started and ran fine, however I was having a problem with the key and barrel section of the ignition switch. So based on that fact I decided to put in a complete new key, barrel and switch. In the process of so doing part of the turn signal switch plastic broke so I decided to install both new switches. Now at this time both switches are installed, the engine turns over with the igntion key but does not start.
Both switches are aftermarket and the wiring colors are not the same as the old ones. The old turn signal switch had the number 311`-953-513B which apparently for a 1970 vw beetle and yes it is a vw harness.
Not sure how the dash lights are grounded only that they did not blink before the new turn signal switch. And yes the ignition switch is in the column.

Hey Guys,
Once again I need your help. First, many thanks to all who responded to my gt problem with a michigan, that has been taken care of. Now, for my current problem= I have installed a new ignition switch and a new turn signal switch in my gt2. The problems are 1, the car will not start and 2, the right turn signal works fine but when the left turn is activated the left turn signal works but all of the small dash gauge lights blink at the same time.
Any ideas?
Thanks to all in advance.

gentlemen,
i just purchased this bradley gt that was in michigan. therein my problems begin, both the seller's michigan title and registration list a vin number of MICH76103. this number apparently cannot be searched or traced.
i live in ohio and my title bureau cannot do anything until that vin number is found on the vehicle. i have looked every where and cannot find such a number. i have found the orginal frame number, which is for a carmen ghia and the engine number which is for a 60s 1500 single port engine. however, ohio will not accecpt the frame number since it is not listed on the title.
i have attempted to contact the michigan bureau of motor vehicles, with no luck, one prompted message to another, never a human.
can anyone tell me where michigan would have placed this number on a gt, is it a decal, stamped, etc.
thanks for any help

I am interested in what you call a Bradley heat/cold seperator. Was this a factory option from Bradley or one that you made? Is it possible for you to give me the measurements of this unit, also could you tell me what material this unit is made of.
My gtll did not have this unit and therefore my request.
Thanks

Hey Guys,
Getting this thing ready for paint and today I hooked up two brown wires to the horn, instant and constant sound. Switched the two brown wires side for side. Same problem constant sound.
There is a solid yellow coming out of the steering column which was not connected, I connected it to ground, same as before, constant sound, grounded or not.
I then removed the steering wheel and the GTll horn button, and unhooked the yellow wire, still horn sounds all the time.
anyone with any ideas?
Thanks,

Hey Guys,
Once again I need your help. I have a GTll with new brake shoes, new wheel cylinders, all four, new steel lines, new flex lines and new master cylinder and a new brake reservoir with new blue hoses.
Here is my problem, with the body off the pan I had very good brakes, mounted the body and the brake reservoir and then no brakes. No brake pedal pressure of any kind, even after pumping several times.
Today I bled all the lines using a motive brake bleeder with 15 pounds of pressure. A little air out of the rear two lines, after that all lines run clear, ran about a quart of brake fluid through the system.
Still no brakes and no brake pedal pressure.
Thanks for your help.

Hey Guys,
I have another question. This one pertains to the 5/16 bolts that hold the shaft bearings to the bulkhead. In addition to the normal nuts and washers that are used to secure the unit is a section of rubber, u shaped, that fits around the bearing holders, and which the bolts go through.
Any one know what this piece of rubber is, it's purpose, is it needed(as mine are dry rotted), and is there some type of replacement.
THANKS FOR YOUR HELP-DAN, WYN, SKIP, AND EVERYONE ELSE . You all have been a great aid in assisting me in restoring this GTll.

Hey Guys,
My GTll has two bulbs in the taillight housing, one 1157 dual filament and a single filament bulb with the number destroyed.
Anyone know the number of this bulb or the purpose of it.
Thanks again for your help.

hey guys,
my rear turn signals are not working, no clicking from the can either, however, my front lights are presently not installed. Would the front not being connected stop the rear from working?
Also in need of a headlight switch and a hazard light switch.
By the way the hazard light switch is apart and missing items, would this effect the turn signals.
Thanks & thanks for all the past help.

Hey Guys,
Guess what? I need your advise once more. I have completely replaced everything related to the frame and running gear on this car.I am at the point of placing the body back on the frame, with new pans, and have discovered that the body does not want to sit down flush across the rear seat area. Also the body is hitting the top of the engine shroud. Any ideas or suggestions.
Thanks,

Wyn,
The welting that you are looking for, is it the channel that the sliding window moves up and down in? If it is the channel I just purchased some from a company named Restoration Specialties & Supply Inc., 148 Minnow Creek Lane, Windber, Pa. 15963, 814-467-9842.

Skip,
Yeah, I tried Ace as well as all the other hardware type outlets in the general area. No luck
However, I did find ( at Carquest ) something I think will work. It is a rubber sleeve with a threaded brass section in the end, cut off the threaded section and add a hard rubber washer to the base, and you have a copy of the grommet.
Thanks for the reply
