Hey guys,
Will 17 inch wheels work on a gtll? If so, what do I need to make them fit?
I currently have the 4 lug drums at all wheels.
Thanks,
Larry

I would say check www.thesamba.com for rims that size if you really want to keep the 4 luger... If you have another wheel with a different bolt pattern in mind already, there are also many hub adapters on there. Before you do anything I would recomend gong to a tire shop and see if they have a bolt on template so you can check clearence. You will nee thin tires to fit on the wheels. -upgrade suspention to raise up, stiffen to cut body roll... I have a set of Keystone 14s on my B-GT, and also have 13s that I put on during winter when it sits on the concreate garage floor.

I can't really say for sure on a BGT-II, but for the GT, I think you are going to have clearence issues, I do with my 14s running with coilover shocks

Running 17's will require rubber band tires. Not a good thing on any car as the tire sidewall is 50% of the suspension. Without adequate side wall too much road shock will transfer into the car resulting in excessive suspension wear, bent susp parts and damage to the body.

And don't forget loose teeth!

Measure the diameter of the tires/rims you have on there now. How do they fill the wheel well?
Then from there you can see what series tires (in 17") you will need. Like Dan said they will probably be 40 series and those will make you feel every bump in your teeth.

There is a metallic Gold colored Bradley GTII, with 17" wheels. Just google(images) Bradley GTII. CB Performance, can make disc brakes in any bolt pattern you want.

Large sidewalls give the appearance of power, rubber bands with lots of rim look too dainty. Sidewall can be used as an adjustable final drive ratio as well. Why don't dragsters use thin tires.

Dan, What graphic program did you use to over lay that wheel? A lot of times I use Snagit 7 by TechSmith! What would really be nifty is a graphic program with a whole assortment of wheel pics. Then when someone wants know what their car will look like with a specific wheel design. Just paste it in. Wyn
