Yeh, I thought Dan MacMillan would jump in there after I posted the pictures in the sun. This was really a color they had mixed & didn't get picked up so it sat on the shelf. It's a base color with clear coat & runs! Retail $450.00 paid $200.00. Always check the reject shelf for the deals if you don't have your heart set on a color, I didn't really care. Now wait for when I copy his side lettering ( without "e") on the Bradley GTII car.

That's definitely the "knock-out" punch of round 2!
How'd you get your place so cleaned -up?
Now get busy and put the thing back together
We don't have all day to stand around and wait for you!
Besides - that's what we pay you the big bucks for!

4th time is a charm! Sanded it down again & shot 2 coats of the paint, 3 coats of clear with red pearl added ( really bring out the purple hase ), then 3 coats of clear. Do have some lite orange peel to color sand & buff out. Paint in the car port with no plastic walls this time. No runs, no hits, no error & one bug in the last coat of clear. He history now! You can see the next to do Bradley GTII beside it & the Honda Trike I built in front of the garage.

Again the orange peel turned into solvent bubbles, came up after about 6 hours of drying time. Same thing happen on the 3th paint job, but they were larger. I'm getting sick & tied about this painting.
8:30PM, just sprayed 2 heavy coats of clear over it. Have to wait for the AM to see what happens.

Update on paint job. The 2 coats of clear cover the bubble, but very heavy orange peel. 6 Hours of wet sanding w/400g wet, was able to get a smooth finish showing. Here are pictures showing the sanded section then the area which has been compounded (right side). Still a way to go on it!

I totally agree! Nice reflection, too! I'm eager to see Skip finish the left side so that we can see what reflection we get to see on that side.
