I wish I knew how wide the GT2 was in comaprison to the GT, but if its the hight and stance of the spoiler that the MRS doesn't like, check out the spoilers on the 1989-93 dodge daytonas or off the 95-97 ford probe. The daytona should be almost perfect for keeping the body stance in prospective, and the probe is cruvy to keep the point of focus mooving. Now like a few of the others have mentioned, the light front end... take a look at some of the muscle cars from the late 60s-mid 70s, what do they have in common besides V8s. "Chin Spoilers," they played a triple purpose. 1. Helped pull the front end down with wind pressure. 2. Forced more air on the radiator for cooling. 3. Killer good looks. for that matter, check out some of the better done ricer tuner with the coffee can tail pipes, a lot of those body kits mimick the chin spoiler, and even have extra "wings" on each side to create down force at the wheel. If you have an extreame engine with the desire to push it hard, then the "wing" thing is a good and safe idea. For the sake of the looks of the BGT2 if you do go with a rear spoiler, do a chin spoiler also (like a camero or mustang) it will be as functional as it looks.
If nothing else, ask your "Boss" what it is that she doesn't like about the spoiler, and either downsize to a smaller one or go bigger... Like a Plymoth Superbird...

The lines are all shot right now, and never had the brakes changed since i got it, so since i pulled the body, i am redoing everything at once. the more insight the better.

one of the guys i talked to at a car show did smething like this, but he is lousy at fiber glassing. here is what he did. he pulled the windshield, back window, and wings off his GT and then unbolted/screwed the top unit and took that to a boat shop. there they used that to make a template to make a free standing windshield unit. theu used 1/4 in tubing and made a couple brackets for it to slide into when placed on the can and is held in by i pins on each side. Now here is the nice thing about doing it this way, he still has the original top unit so if there is a chance he might have to keep it outside in rain, he switches units (takes him about 15 minutes and about 10 more to put his spare windshield in place (the other stays inset in new unit) so in about 1/2 hr he can have a stock looking gt into a convertable. he won some prize at the car show for doing that... good luck, measure 4 times, and mock up before cutting. bob

Ok, you should keep the Volt meter for starters. Amp meters only give you readings after there is a problem, such as a short or after you blow fuses, have dead batteries ect. Every thing looks fine until after its too late. the Volt meter allows you to see that the generator (or alternator) is kicking out, and also if there is high power draw when something is on indicating you have a potencial electrical issue. Car companys diched the amp meter and went to a volt meter for a reason, so keep it... The boost per sq in gauge IS the oil pressure, why its like that i have no idea, but it does look cooler than saying oil pressure. as far as not having a tepmature gauge, You have a air cooled motor (if its a Vw that is) so there is not a radiator to cool the engine. it is cooled by the oil and air flow, if you think its getting too hot, look into some oil cooling systems, and a higher oil flow system. A wise friend told me the faster you go, the cooler it gets, just make sure you have good brakes. good luck my friend Bob

Alright, Now this is perfect timing... I just pulled the body off mine to redo pans, brakes, wiring, ect. I'm debatingon weather to modify my body before i get a new metalflake coat on it or not. If the guy still has it, please send his contact info to me. I can have mine resprayed, and customize this one for a bug I found for 500 in northern MICH. I live in southwest Michigan, so this sounds like a great find to me.

If I recall correctly, someone once told me that the Bradley GT had the same windshield as a 66 corvette, and the Bradley GT2 was the same as a mustang... I can't say the year off hand. -Cocacoladodge

check out either Jegs or Summit, the seats in those are almost the same style, AND there are a lot of options for those. If worse comes to worse, Pull a seat out and take to an upholstery shop and have them make a new one with padding done to your comfort. After all, Kitcars are all about making something plain into someting your own. -cocacoladodge

just a heads up, you would be better off getting newer seats from summit or jegs (that are styled simular to the Bradley seats) than get+ing from a car. The reason being that the seat angle will be off too much (too straight up) and will cause clearance issues with the rollbar/roof unit/gullwings. If you redid the windshield for the convertable look, it may work, however your line of vision will be off. The stock seats have little to no padding VS 3-6 inches of coshining. The closest seats I have found in a local salvage yard were from a Pontiac Ferrio, and also check for MR2 (i forget who made that). From the voice of experence, Check out Summit and Jegs and a local upholstry shop to get padding to your liking and they may cut you a deal if you have other things done at the same time. Good luck. cocacoladodge

Where in Michigan are you? I'm getting ready to pull the Bradley GT body off from the base to redo my floorpans, brakes, electrical, and other "Fun" stuff. I would be interested in coming by to see what parts you do not need and if I can use them. I live a little north of Kalamazoo, MI... Feel free to email me at the_cokekidd2u@yahoo.com Bob
