This is what I ended up with.
The engine harness, blue tapes are cuts. Got tired trying to undo the mess.
Dash harness waiting to go back to the garage.

Strange, I had to shorten about 20 then splice 2 into my Bradlry harness. Maybe so, but I'm trying to save the dash harness to use also. That explains it. That will help to keep the codes at bay. Hope all goes well the first time you power it up. I know I had my fingers and toes crossed the first time I turned the key. With mine I left the ecm and ign module disconnected until I verified that powers and grounds were where they should be.

Still working slow. Did get the rear floor cut to bring the eng/trans up to the wheel base of 95" Starting to cut back the front of the frame so I can plan as I go. You can see the red string drop line to mark the center of the wheel to the body. Have one on the rear body also.

A little more today. Cut the sheet metal front fenders off & drop the Outback down to 7" ground clearance. May go down to 6" ?? Anybody kown what there ground clearance is ?? This show were the engine will fit. Next front shocks off & think about the upper A-arm & shock setup

OK, here's the scoop! After cutting the front sheet metal all day & cutting the shocks off, started doing some head scratching. Went out to the yellow Bradley in the driveway with a tape. I'm using the 89 Toyota Supra front & rear suspension. The rear with the XT6 engine/5 speed trans. Axle adp. I made. The front end. Notice the upper A-arms. Well they have another one sitting down at Pull-A-Part & thinking of going down & pull the front & rear end out of it. Wanted to keep it all Subby, but with the rusted rear end that I can't get apart & the small space in front from the frame, thinking of going this way. Ford 4.5" rims will fit on it also.

I see another project that "will finish someday". I thought you were going to keep it simple.

simple, yes, but i have only about 5" to build an upper A-arm which would not work right. Will mount the front end into the Outback frame & still have to built the rear mount for the engine. This will also give me larger vented disc brake & hopefully better handling. Plus I know what I doing this time!

So far have a GOOD day. Found 4 really nice 2005 Mustang rims w/nuts for $150.00 on Craig list this morning. Tires are so-so, & one is flat with a hole on the side wall. Same ones I'm using on the Yellow Bradley GT II. Had lunch & went to the junk yard at 3:30. Starting to strip a '86 Toyota Supra for the frame. Will finish it up tomorrow & bring it home.

CHOP - CHOP, back to square one. Got the Supra home in the afternoon. Put the mustang rims on it as I pulled it off the trailer. Only need to shorten this one 8" down to 95" wheelbase. A few picture as I got it home. Worked in the junk yard a total of 8 hours over the past 2 days in 100+ temp. Still need to cut the roof off & return it for the deposit.

WOW, 4 hours of chopping this morning. Got a lot done, working on the rear section of the car. I'm trying to keep as much of the main frame as I can. Nice shot of the rear end.

Skip....I am confused. Whats the plan here? Supra unibody (heavily reinforced I assume?) with a Subaru mid-engine drive system?
Having a hard time following this one.

I agree! 1st Subby rear end total rust bucket. Front has no room to add A-arm & shock. Toyota Supra has IRS & IFS, larger disc brakes. Mustang rims. Will be using Supra frame/floor, Subby firewall & the rest of the Subby. Subby H6-3.0/auto adp. to Supra rear end. Will reinforce the frame with 2"x4" tubing on the sides & subframe for eng/trans mount. I hope it will work!!!!!

OK...got it....I think! Sounds like you will be going through some serious welding wire.

Cut the front end down today & pressure washed it. Moved it into the garage & next step will be to shorten the frame down to 95" wheel base. That may take a few days!

Going good so far. Cut the floor at the rear seam. Had to remove the tar paper & this is what I found to fit the SawAll. Worked great. Cut 6.5" out of the floor to over lap the rear seam lip. But the side panel I cut at 6.5" & should have been 7". Will work on it Wed.

The Subaru Outback "IS OUT OF HERE" Cut the future firewall off! Cut the top of the tunnel off! Need to carry the floor pans out to the trailer.

Hoo-ray, the Toyota Supra is welded back together! The rocker panels & floor are welded, tunnel will come later when I cut & weld in the top of the Subaru tunnel. Will be grinding the welds on both rocker panel to weld on some 1/8" x 2" straps to reinforce the area. Sorry, had to take this picture inside the garage as it's been raining here for the past 2 days. Work on the firewall next.

Took yesterday & some of the morning off. So today, pushed the frame outside & put the Bradley GT II body back on the dolly. Pushed it outside & covered it due to all the rain we are getting. Wife helped me push the frame back inside & onto the lift. Removed rear shocks 7 Did the 1st cut of the rear floor so could do some checking & thinking about how to mount the eng/trans in there. The rear from the rear, Subaru cross member is on the floor. From the inside, floors been cut out. It's cut to the box framing, which will need to be remove & build new framing. Nee min 33" wide for the engine. The BIG disc brake & upper A-arm showing here.

Round 2, Had to cut the framing between the rear end. May have a problem with the inner front mount of the rear end. There is only 30" between them & the eng is 33" The automatic is a lot bigger then a 5 speed also.

Stage 3. More cutting today. Working on the motor mount cross member. Cut the center section out of the rear sub-frame. Also cut the Subaru Front cross member in half. Will trim it to the length & weld her in place. It will be to wide & would hit the axles. Will trim it down & weld in back together. Also cut the front shock tower top off & removed the shock. The frame is sitting at the ride height now. Will need shocks still.

Wow, that's a tight fit! Will you have room for maintenance without having to pull the motor again to change plugs?

Did some running around today so not to much new. Just more cutting up the body. There is a lot of room to be able to do the maintenance of valve covers, Spark plugs & oil filter. Has anyone notice the oil filter has a water cooler of heater on it? Tuesday will be firewall or trans mount!
