Bubble flaring tool on order. As soon as I can find room in the garage, daughter is visiting, I will block up the Brad and get started.

i was checking on Bubble flare tools, and It looks like I can buy one, OTC 4504, for around $31 with shipping. Now that is a single or double flare? The one quoted is a single, ISO Bubble. I thought that the bubble made it a double when you tightened it up. Now I see one for sale that says double bubble flare?

I just checked my Napa store and they have Bubble flare tubing, but it cost a bunch more that regular flare. They recommened getting a bubble flare tool, and 25 ft of tubing and doing exactly what you said. The other thought was buy adapters, $6.00 for an end fitting, and $2.00 for splicers fittings, and doing it with stock double flare. He had 60 inch long max., so would need to spice, especially if I go the under the floor route. I'm going to go look for a bubble flare tool and see what they cost or see if I can rent one.

thanks SteveVW. My master is in the center of the car and not at all like the skematic. It looks like I need to start from scratch with it. I retreived the Brad from the VW dealer and he all but admitted he had no idea what to do with it. He suggested I go to a local shop and get it fixed. Most honest thing he said. I am not at all sure the master is bad. I cannot see any leak at the master, and of course it will not hold if there is a break in the rear line. $114.95 for a verdict I really don't believe.

Jeff: As to the meaning of "outside". Do you mean outside the tunnel on the inside of the car or underneath the car. I am afraid it might get pinched under the car. Inside the car, it means tearing out my glued down floor covering. Just asking.
"As for your tunnel line, the easiest solution would be to ignore the tunnel option and just run a new line -- outside and alongside the tunnel on the driver side -- where it belongs. End of problem."

All good ideas. I live in Northern Illinois. I just might take Gary up on his offer later in the year. I just put my wife in the hospital today with a case of food poisoning or something on that order. I spent 6 hours there and they couldn't get the trots under control, so will spend the night and tomorrow.

Bad news. They said the master brake cyl is bad and since it is in a bad spot, it will take 10 hours to replace and cost 1500. I told them to forget it. Now, any suggestions?

I got the Brad into the VW dealership by using the emergy brake and down shifting. They tried to sign me in with my VIN number, but since it is a Bradley VIN and not a VW, it wasn't in the system and they had a heck of a time getting me in the computer. Then finally faked a number. ;D It cost $105 for a brake inspection. They will call today with an estimate on the total cost. I think the price on my Brad just went up another $1000. More later.

I give up. I made an appointment with a Volkswagen dealer/service center to have all new brake lines put on. As some one said, the car has to stop!!!!

Yes, I traced it from the Master cyl to the place where it goes in and also I can see where it comes out. A hole with a grommet and goes to a splitter for the back wheels. This is a 1970 frame.

I have a leak inside the tunnel and dripping brake fluid out of the hole in front of the horns. Can this line be pulled and replaced? If so, what is the best way?

It appears that after the car is warmed up, the idle is OK. Maybe it's the 3 year old gas that has lost some of it's power?

Brakes all fixed, and I went to the car show in Hinckley today. I was only able to be there till 12:00 noon, and the judging was at 2:00, but I got a pancake and sauage breakfast out of the $10 entery fee. Also a goodie bag with a Lions Club Tee shirt. Beautiful day for it.

I knew the answer was on the old site, but a search gets me nothing. I would like to know what screw to adjust on a standard carb 1300 single port engine to bump the idol up a couple of grand. I stall out at stop signs.

You win, I lose. While cleaning them up, I discovered that the glue that holds the pad to the shoe isn't holding up. I can peel the pad half way off of the shoe. New ones on order, should be here tomorrow morning.

I got one for $10.05 total with tax at AutoZone. They told me I could clean up the shoes and they should be OK. I will give it a try, I can always replace them if they don't want to work right.

I'm hi-jacking my own thread, so I guess it's ok. The Bradley locks up the front left wheel when I put on the brakes. It also has an oily look on the back side of the drum case. My first guess is leaky wheel cylindar. Would it be better to try to rebuild it if it is or just buy another new one from Napa?

I didn't send my regeristration in the mail, so didn't get a goodie bag. Looked like rain all morning, but cleared up by show time. Lots of EXPENSIVE old restores there. They did not have classes, so I never stood a chance at any prize. I did enjoy a delicious Pork Chop dinner for $10 and two strawberry shortcakes for $4. Tied for 2nd jplace on a casting contest, but lost the coin toss. :-( On my way to the 50-50 drawing, I found $40 on the ground, so made out really well. :-)

I got the insurance up to date, put on the license sticker, put on a 30 amp battery charger, and fired it up. One wheel was stuck, so had to loosen the brake shoe, and kick the wheel a few times, and then readjust the brake. The Battery is toast, so sprung for a new $75 sealed one, and I'm a happy person. It's been on jack stands for 3 years now. I will clean it up tomorrow, and put it in a car show Sunday in Big Rock Illinois. The following Sunday, there is a car show in Hinckley. Yeah.

"the glass is not too big it just has a tighter curve in the top corners. If you cut it it will not fit in the hole."
this might give reason to read it again. Just saying.

Not having a GT2, I can't give any advise on it. I do have a GT w/o air and it is not nice. I did find a way to provide a little ventilation, by snapping open the front clip on the window, and sticking a wedge in it to funnel the air into the car. The wedge was my foot. :-). I have since taken the doors off of the car and have installed snap on plastic and now unsnap the back corner of the "door" and let some air in. I also have half windows to snap on the bottom and leave the top open like a sun roof open.

Put your image in a program like Photo Bucket. Copy the URL from that site. Open your profile in Bradley GT site, click on Modify Profile, and paste the URL in the box for Avatar. Note, not the first box, but the one for your personal Avatar. Hope that helps.
