Made the Reservation. Used the AARP but did not do the advance payment. I think it's worth being able to cancel due to sickness, rain out or some other unforeseen circumstance. Total of $177.82 for the two nights.

what web site or phone number did you use? I can only get an 80.20 + tax or 177.82 for the two nights.

I just talked to a Rep from the funfest, and he said that the tax and shipping were waved for Illinois customers. He was also going to look into being sure the Bradleys were grouped together, and call back.
Hampton, Fairfield, Days Inn, and Comfort Suites sounded all good to him. Whatever your wifes want, let me know and I will book it too. The Roadway is no longer in existince.

Leonardabell, I registered but not got a motel yet. Might be a good idea they have a big crowd. It would be great to meet for a meal to visit... Kensaw210 Did you register as an indiviual or a club? If a club, what name did you use?

I suppose it's getting time to registar. What is the plan on that? Does anyone have a motel that is close and we could all be close together for breakfast or dinner? Details, please.

It now looks like maybe 6 of us going. If all can make it, not too bad of a turnout. I have to give up a car show in Big Rock on Sunday, but there I would be the only Bradley. If the weather gets bloody hot, I have the use of a trailer to haul the Brad down and ride in air conditioning ;D. I hope some more can find the time for this.

I am 5' 8" and have the rails in my Bradley. I have no problem with head clearance. If I need to get a good look around, I just stick my head out of the top and look I always get a chuckle out of observers when I do that.

Depending on whether my daughter is having surgery that weekend, I plan on being there. I just came home from Florida and passed by Effingham. I can drive it in about 3 1/2 hours.

I'm only looking at 238 miles each way. A nice ride. I'm considering it.

I agree. Jack stand the back up as far is your jack will reach without a block on the oil pan. Put a 2 x 4 on your hydralic jack and support the motor. When everything is disconnected, don't forget your heater wires, experence talking here, and pull it back a bit and let the engine down and roll it out from under the car. Even I did it a few times, and I'm just a shade tree machanic. the exhust makes good handles to pull with.

Just for kicks, try taking out the filter and see it it helps. I know that when I tried to drive home from buying mine, I had to do that just to get it home. I got tired of the engine dying and waiting for the filter to let enough gas through to get on the road again just to konk out in a mile or so.

I decided that newspapers wrapped and masking taped on them would stand the drive better. That is the way the chrome guy protected them from scratches and scrapes when I got them. He didn't have the grease on them though.

Greased and wrapped and secured with rubber bands. Will it make it 35 miles to it's storage shed intact? If not, I can fix it later this fall. Thank for the info, guys.

Going to store my Bradley for the winter, and wonder if there are any good ideas on how to protect my newly chromed bumpers from rust for 9 months in the Illinois weather. It will be stored under roof.
i have put WD 40 on them in the past. Any better ideas?
