I made arrangements to get the Bradley out of storage on Wednesday. Lets hope the mice were kept at bay! To be continued.

I think they have been found in the front wheel well, under the dash or in the engine compartment. I know that's not much help, but a start. High probability that there isn't one.

grampa gus seemed to do the job. No mice this last spring. I still have 4 packets for this winter, and I am going to take the covers off of the new seats and store in a clean garbage can.

I got the old seats out and the new ones were too wide for the outside shelf. I raised the sliders up a little over a quarter inch and it now clears the shelf. This is on the drivers side. The passenger side is no longer a slider and positioned all the way back. I ran out of washers to shim it up. Don't know how to post pictures on this site.

I thought that the seat just ran off of the track going forward, but I seem to have hit a stop. How in the blazes do the seats come out of the bradley?

Getting too cold for joy riding, and I need the garage for my wife's car inside, so made the 30 mile trip to the farm shed. I put some moth balls in it and will get some Grandpa Gus mouse repellent and hook up a float charger for the battery. I have a tarp on the ground, and 2 by 8's under the wheels, a suspended tarp over it for bird droppings. and 2 car covers. Lets just hope the mice don't trash it like last winter. I have two seats to replace the trashed one's but will not install them until next spring.

Just an update on my present situation. I have been having an oil leak from my original pushrod covers. I decided to replace them with spring loaded covers so I wouldn't have to pull the heads. I am here to tell you it is IMPOSSIBLE to compress the tube with the O rings and spring while holding it in position. I finally gave up and ordered the threaded kind. They sent the tubes with NO instructions, and the O ring on the wrong side of the lock nuts. I did figure that out before assembly. They did go into position easily, and all was well. BUT I FORGOT THE BOX END WRENCH ON THE GENERATOR. I used it to turn the engine over to set the points. I hit the starter and BANG, a puff of smoke and it started. Shut if off to find the wrench and gen nut on the ground. Really lucky the engine turned the correct way or it could have been disastrous. I ran the engine for 10 minutes, and do not see any leak. Yayyyyy.

This is a single port engine, so don't think it would work. I've got it patched up for now and doesn't look too bad. Thanks though.

How can I see the difference between a single and double port engine?

Going to the Napa Auto shop tomorrow for some clamps and muffler goop. I should be able to find a can thick enough for a patch. If that doesn't work, I might take a drive to central Illinois. Thanks for your response and help.

I discovered a hole in my manifold and was looking on how it is mounted. Does the engine need to be dropped to replace it? It runs behind the carb and under the generator.

Got it started with a LOT of starter fluid. So far, since I got it home, I have adjusted a dragging brake, replaced a rotted tire valve stem, replaced all the gas lines, and ordered some 50 w oil for an oil change. I need 50 weight for low pressure when it gets up to temp. I have tried all sorts of cleaners to remove the mouse pee on the front, but looks like a complete stripping down and re-coating with Vertglas.

A cable runs from a lever at the light covers, thru the dashboard and is connected a lever in front of the gear shift. It is difficult to bend over and use it, but it does the job. At least that's how mine is setup.

Looking good, Gary! Mine isn't even running. Tried to start and couldn't keep it running after dumping gas in the air intake. I'll try starter fluid next spring, and also see if any fuel is getting to the carb.

I had my stored bradley started about 2 months ago, and when I went to put it up for the winter, It would only fire as long as I dumped some gas into the carb, but would not continue to run. My guess is stuck float or fuel pump. Any other suggestions? BTW, where is the fuel pump?

Nice to see all the cars at the Carlyle show from years back on Facebook. Mine was the last one and was really shiny.

Not enough weight in the front. Slides all over the road in the snow. I speak from experience. First snowfall, in the garage it goes for the duration.

For my GT, I put in trailer LED lights. They fit right into the hole without any modification. Mine had black rubber trim rather than the original silver trim, but I can live with that.
