The GTII is a one-shot deal. And further, unlike major Detroit makings, and being a limited edition Kit-Car, Bradley was not required to offer replacements for any amount of time. With Guardian wanting a minimum production of 200 items and I think that is where the $50,000 starts it. And that does not include the cost of storage of the windshield until they are all sold. What we need is to find a Millionaire who is willing to loan us $50,000 to buy 200 windshields and knowing he will never make his money back. Not a good deal so forth. Can we find 5 members to throw in $10,000 of the $50,000 to buy 40 wsd each, out of the 200 wsd. Each member will try to sell his 40 wsd. Still not that great of a deal. I might be wrong but I don’t think we could sell more than 50 or 60 of the 200 wsd. So it is a really a bad deal. Anyone with any better ideals? Wyn

Check with Jeff Troy He sales the manual (GT and GT2) on CD and makes a molded version of the hood and engine lid emblems. If you want larger copies of the pages take the CD to your local print shop and they can make the copies. I use snagit to inlarge the image and then print a small portion of the image to work with.

Since I have not seen anyone making comment on getting a replacement for the Bradley GT 2 windshield. So I decided to do a little more research on the windshield.
Looking at Guardian Industries web site, it said give them a call and they would give a quote for a replacement windshield so I gave them a call (1-866-999-5011 near Columbus, Ohio). Told them I was looking for a windshield for the Bradley GT 2. The person had no idea what a Bradley GT 2 was. After talking to her for awhile she gave me a number to their office in Finley, Ohio (1-800-331-8403) and talk to Josh. He ask me for the Viracon part number. I told him I would need to go down stairs to get it and would call him back. I look all over the windshield and found what I thought the number was. On the windshield ( Viracon -- Safety coated – ASI M50 DOT129). He said the number was not listed. Since I was just one individual and the most maybe one sale he did not want give me any prices. I told him I knew they had the tooling and it would cost $4000 to program the robots what would it cost to make a run for the windshield. He said it would be in the thousands maybe $50,000. He said they really did not want to work with Kitcars. I ask if he knew of any ware else that could help for the windshield. He gave me another number (1-973-450-4933) and ask for a Lee. The only thing they would tell me was to go to Ebay.
So there is no help on a replacement windshield for the GT2. The only thing to do is make the windshield out of Plexiglas, and Don’t tell the police.
If someone wants to try a $50,000 purchase or more, Go ahead and give it a try. I want one spare as long as the price does not go over $500 ea.

First of all check with your DMV and Highway Patrol to see what regs you need. To give you an ideal here is the state of Ohio regs from the HP. statepatrol.ohio.gov/doc/Inspection_brochure.pdfI had to dispose of a rust free chassis because the previous owner had cut through the Vin number. But it is OK to build a new chassis without a Vin # Wyn

I could drive around with one of these on But it would look better if I used two of the filters from the mask make a cavity to mount them on the sides of the airpod run the hose to the back side of the finder. Make a port for the air to come in from the sides for the fenders and cover them with a decorative vent cover. Wyn

My GT-II body has a larger opening for the fan. With the fan cover installed there is a 3/4" by 27" opening above the fan cover so I do have the ability to curculate cooler air.
I was going to try to close this opening and that is why I was looking through the manuals to see what alternatives I had. I need to find a way to get fresh outside air in and be able to open and close as needed.
I have been debating about using servos on the two rear side windows where they only open about two inches at the rear edge. Only the glass is on the small size and may be too fragile to work.
Those two small vents under rear window don't really work unless you can replace the air as it is expelled. The GT-II does not have good venting for fresh air.

I have a question for GT-II owners. While going through my manual and Jeff’s CD, studying the fine details and finishing work to do on my Brad. I need to get it all together this year. My question is do any of you GT-II owners get much road dust and exhaust fumes into your car? The reason I ask, is on Jeff’s CD for the GT II, There is an installation feature I do not like. A 2 7/8 inch heater hose is mounted from the airpod and bottom side of the chassis. The when you use you fan or the AC fan there is a negative pressure in the airpod which can suck any road dust, exhaust fumes. Even while parked, small varmints can jump up and craw into your air system. All I am going to do is drill two small holes so I can run two drain tubes out and down from the AC evaporator assembly to let the water drain out. No dusty air in. Wyn

MJ On the GT-II, I would take two adjustable jack and place them under the engine compartment side walls just under the rear bumper mounting hardware.
If you have a GTE body I would place the jacks about 8" in front of the rear bumper mounting hardware, as this hardware is mounted below the partitions. These two partitions are shorter in the GTE by length and height. Make sure your rear bumper is mounted so it will help stabilize these two partitions. These two panels also do not mount to the rear of the car as they are just behind the rear taillight boxes.

Between each of the 4 mounting pads and the shock mount arm I have placed 2 heavy washers. I did that so I could replace them with shims so I could change the tension on the two arms and adjust at later time any Butt Sag that may come up.

I am using a 1973 type 3 engine. Don't know the hp probably 65 hp. The fan is on the crank shaft in back instead of above the engine. That black hose that is laying on the engine is a LPG fuel line. It will connect to a LPG regulator mounted on the rear fire wall. I will use the existing throttle body from the fuel injection system with a venturi adaptor between it and the air filter. Then later on I'll switch over to hydrogen for the fuel.

That gap is from the butt sag problem. The door is being distorted by the pull of the roof to the rear. If you do not have the front body and bumper mounts install it could allow the nose to drop. That Body mount bolts the two front wood supports and the clamps to the two torsion beam of the front suspension. Get the front body mounts installed before you do any adjustment for the butt sag. Get some pics on the board. This is the drawing I used for my butt sagg brace. I also plan to use a trailer on the car so I need the extra support. This type of brace may not work for everyone. I have the 1” body lift installed and that gives me 2.5” over the top of each shock absorber for clearance for the body. The U channel is 2” wide so that only gives ½” of clearance. If you use a brace like this on a GTE you need to change the angle of the long arms to the rear. The GTE engine compartment walls are about 8" wider at the rear. Wyn

Anything could work as long as it keeps the body mount from sliding up & down. That pointed end of the mount could wear a hole into the torsion assembly is what concerns me.
I like the ideal of welding heavy duty muffler clamps. that way I dont need to make that little metal plate and grind the curbiture to fit the torsion assembly.

In the GT 1 you have the headlight boxes. In the GT II you have the gas tank just enough room for the brake resovor. In the GTE, which has an hood opening you have the batteries. Still no room for a spare tire. But room to squeeze a can of Fix-a-Flat and maybe a tire repair kit.

Each one of us does not have the same skill set of working ability with fiberglass and modifying the GT II to install a shell and a cut windshield to fit. I think about 1/4th of the GT II owners would be able to install a windshield mod-kit. And getting outside help maybe more difficult for other to do. So it looks like many of the GT II owners would not be able to complete the installation of the windshield kit. I am not putting Skip down as he has a fantastic ability to work and create working designs, but to get them into untrained hands would be a big problem. I think the only applicable answer is to somehow to get new Bradley windshields made. Three years ago I tried to get something going to get the windshields made. As the new company is only 100 miles from Newark, Ohio, where I live. Maybe help deliver some through several states. But with some new health problems that is out of the questions. Maybe someone else would like to try it. Ok here is the information. OK, Here is the story on Bradley GT 2 Windshields. From 3 years ago. First the Big Bad News “Viracon” sold off ALL their window & windshield Operations. The fellow did give me a Name and Phone number that may have some windshield. So I called it, They said ALL Bradley GT2 windshield and glass was sold off. I was given the name of who bought it all. “Bob Evans” Fancy That! Back to Viracon, Viracon sold their Glass operation to PPG Industries and Guardian. PPG Industries took all the high end large production and Guardian got the left-overs. This person did give me the number to Guardian and a contact name. Name: Guardian Glass Street: 2040 Production Drive Findlay, Oh 45840-5449 Phone: (419) 420-9736 Kevin McMillin 419-209-6332 goliath.ecnext.com/coms2/product-compint-0000045975-page.html I called the Guardian number and acutely talked to the contact person, He found that they had the info on the Bradley GT2 windshields but did not know if they had the tooling. He said he would research to see of they had the tooling and if so have sales call back with more information. I had asked him how the windshields would be shipped. He said they can be bulk shipped or individually shipped, but again it all depends on where they are to be shipped. I asked to make sure, if I supplied them with a list of individuals to be individually shipped, and he said yes, but again cost depends on location to be shipped to. I had received a call back from a gentleman from Guardian and we had a very informative discussion on the production of the GT II windshield. Like most companies today to keep up with the demands for production, they have gone to full robot operations. This requires for the production to be setup similar to what Gary Hammond did for Rob Stone’s tilt hinge only in a much larger operation. First, Guardian does have the tooling for the GT II windshield, but the question comes to legal issues “Who owns the right to the tooling” and there for it products. I had check on The Bradley trademark to see if it was open, and maybe we apply for it. But someone at Bradley had just reacquired the trademark license. Bradley trademark Owner (REGISTRANT) Bradley Automotive, Inc. CORPORATION MINNESOTA 6315 Timber Trail Edina MINNESOTA 55439 Someone can try to contact the Bradley Automotive, Inc, and see of they would set up a windshield production or release the tooling so we can produce the windshield needed. As for a TradeMark, we can have a off the wall new car name entered and a tooling made for the same windshield, problem is more cost. Maybe the only answer. Second, Guardian usually does a production of 200 to 500 or more of a product. Anything less would require a setup charge of $4000. This goes to programming the robots for the job, a test run and evaluation of the products. After the setup charge of $4000 is paid any number of windshield can be produced. More windshield made the price would be a little lower. Do we need 20 windshield a year or what the minimum that is required? I have seen many GT II on Ebay and Craigslist listed with no windshield or a cracked windshield. To get 20 windshield will take some heavy investment on someones part or a complete investment of a well formed Car Club. For the ones of us that have good windshield once they are broken or damage our cars are done for. The next time you see a GT II up for sale for $2000 or more you better buy it for the windshield, if it has one. So the question is what can we do as the Bradley Car club, does anyone have the $10,000 to start the first production for the Bradley GT II windshield or off the wall name? (Setup and products) ($10,000 is my arbitrary number for cost, it may probably be much higher.) How do we organize all the Bradley GT II owners US wide who need windshields ? Anyone with any ideals. Technically I have two, The first one is in work and hopelly I get it completed this year. It was a virgin body no holes drilled or anything installed and it came with all the glass. The second one was partly completed, but nose was cut off to so the owner could installed it on a MG chassis apperently it did not work and set outside for several years, it was a GTE body. I bought it for the parts missing from the first GT II. The bigest problems with the GT II and GTE is there are no windshields avalible for them. I had looked into getting windshields made, it turned out to be a pretty expensive proscess. The company has the mold for the Bradley windshield, and I did not have the rights to have them to use it. So a new mold would need to be made and then a order of 100 or 2 windshield to be made. That was out of my range. --- 497 --- Wyn

My AV has not seen any malware on the site I useualy hit it about 4 times a day.
I have gotten the worst infections from hardware supply sites for car parts. If I get an infection I reboot the system and hold the F8 key down and the system goes into a repair page. And I select to" restore windows to an earlier point in time" and let the computer do the repair. The virus is elimenated and Your data is not affected
I am running Windows 7.
The system will reboot to a time before the virus and you are ready to get back to your web work. No harddrive is needed to be replaced

You might look into a Boat shop. Many of them have an upholstery shop in back and with todays economy problem they may do your seats.
The boat shop here in town has emailed several times, wanting to know if I'm ready for them to work on my GT-II

The right and left sides are 21" from the fire wall. The instrument panel 21" driver side and 24" passengers side. A good bit of that is lost due to the blower housing and windsheild wiper motor and arms and air ducks. After I'm done I'll have enought room to mount an ITX computer under the dash in the center.

jspbtown has the best way, an acetylene torch works good, but watch your heat.
I had the threaded part of the stud brake off, the stud is held in by a pin, if you can find the pin just drill it out remove the stud. Get a shoulder bolt cut the head off, use the old hole as a guide and drill a new pathway througt the bolt add a new pin and set it. You now have a new shock stud on your control arm.
