The 7/8" x 5" chrome louvers that are mounted both inside and outside below the rear window have rusted out on the GT2 I am restoring. Does anyone have a source for replacements or come up with something different? Appreciate any help.. An Ideal for those vents is to make a mold for the vent, then use about 4, 5, or 6 pieces of fiberglass to eliminate a new vent assembly. use a Dremal to carefuly cut out the slouts then paint them with chrome paint or paint to the same color as the car. You can mount about 4 or 5 LEDs behind each one to use as brake or running lights and still have the ventilation. And you still do this with the old metal ones. WYN

You can try something like this. I have not installed it yet. I am building a 3” linear servo lift for the rear hatch window. It locks with the standard locking pin But will raise the the hatch about 3”. It just fits between the the rear cargo wall and the engine. It has a spring load and a nylon stop so the window pin will not rattle while the window is open. Wyn

For everyone that had looked at the files by rachared, you might want to run your antivirus program. This is just to make sure no viruses or hacker links were placed to your address through your IPS.

no, dont need photo bucket, its a setting on your computer, other people can see them and i have seen them on 3 other computers and my phone, strange,,,i have had that happen to me sometimes though on other sites with photos in the past,, All pictures for people to view must be posted to a Web location. A publicly accessible server. One of the best I think is "Photo Bucket". I have two servers of my own which I use. Your link to you pics is ----https: //scontent-b-sjc.xx.fbcdn.net with sub directories are ----- /hphotos-prn2 /v /t35.0-12/ with image name ------ 10359275_856264584388679_2099842184_o.jpg ?oh=42dd81df466cd09e723ab082f8b477a5&oe=5376B907 Way too many characters where errors can occur. I don't consider FaceBook a good web location as getting to their pictures from an outside access is a hit or miss proposition. The message from FaceBook is what I received trying to access your pics. My address for the FaceBook notice I posted is http: //www.ksus-62.net ----- Web address /misc/ -------- subdirectory FB-pic.jpg ------- image name. Wyn

It looks like the storage location is not working. The Pictures were there, now they are not. I check your post and the picture code is there. So I captured it and tried to bring it up on my system off site.
I get a message from FACEBOOK: "Sorry, something went wrong. We're working on getting this fixed as soon as we can."
If you have the pics on Facebook can we see them there?

I know some of our members have or have access to 3D printer. I am interested what printers are avalible. I am currently looking at a model called 3D Stuffmaker from iprint-technologies (www.iprint-technologies.com). Does anyone know of any problems with this unit? Also what other CAD software is avalible for the 3D Printers? I know of : AUTODESK, AUTOCAD, CAD international, TinkerCAD, OpenSCAD, Sketchup I have used Generic CADD. But the one I have do not have 3D print drivers. What other CAD software would you recommend.
Thank You Wyn

I was having problems posting pics. Had to contact my web host to reset access to my web site. I wanted to get a couple of pics on the site. PM posted. The seats in the pic are wet, I had just got them out of storage and they were covered with cobwebs, cocoons, and other dirt and mud. So I cleaned them off. They still need some cleaning. Wyn

I've tried finding the stock seats, but I have not been able to find any. How can I lift the body? Theitsme I have an extra set of GT-2 seats shells, (the right and left) I do not have the foam or seat covers for them or hardware to mount them. I had made my own seat mounts. Search my postings. You should find my body lift, butt sag fix, and my seat mounts. I am in central Ohio. Send me a PM if your interested in the seat shells! Wyn.

Over the past year I've lost over 85 lbs, and 30 of that was from the stays in the Hostipital from an infection. That fat was my insulation for the colder months. So if the temperature were the same its colder to me. Eric that 72 is short sleeve weather here. Can't wait for the warmer weather.

The door latches are from a VW rabbit. VW PN 331 827 505 Latch VW PN 331 827 511A Striker You will need to make the parts shown to activate the latches. You need to disconnect the spring, slip the part on and re-attach the spring. The part shown on the latch will pivot on an extended mounting bolt.

Hi, Newbe, Removing the body isn't all that difficult. For the most part, you can just follow the body-on installation in the manual IN REVERSE. You'll just have to be on the alert for extra wiring or hardware that a previous owner may have installed. When you and your friends lift the shell, go slowly, and if you feel any resistance whatsoever, stop lifting and find out what's still connected. Here is the information about my Bradley CDs: The Bradley GT and GTII CDs hold files of the original assembly and wiring manuals, as well as any official updates. The GT CD also holds roughly 36 years and 645 thousand actual miles worth of useful information. Ordering is easy. Just send $35 through PayPal to jefftroy@aol.com , or you can send $35 by check or money order to: Jeff Troy 759 New Holland Ave. Lancaster PA 17602 Be sure to state whether you need the GT or the GTII CD. The cars -- and the manuals -- are very different. The advantage of the CD over an original printed manual is that you can take the pages out to shop and not have to worry about dogging them with oil, grease or other shop debris. If you ruin a page, you can just print another. One of my CDs just may be the best money you can spend on your car. I'm sure that anyone who has it -- and most owners do -- will tell you that it's extremely helpful. I think its a fantastic Ideal to use the Brad as an Amphibian. Here is the road map to build a Bradley GT 2 Amphibian. You need to obtain a late-model front-wheel-drive vehicle VW beetle. Remove the VW body from the chassis. It may have to be cut off. Remove the mounting flange from the GT 2 body. This would make more room inside the GT 2. Set the GT 2 body over the VW chassis. Welled up a steel frame that will fit into the walls of the GT 2 this'll be a reinforcement for the cut VW chassis. Make a metal transition piece to attach the GT 2 body to the VW chassis floor. The GT 2 will sit higher on this chassis but you will need the height for the amphibian version of this vehicle. Once the GT 2 is mounted to the chassis lay in fiberglass cloth and matt to the floor so that the bottom of the vehicle is sealed. Enclosing and sealing the botton of the car comes later. Modify front A-frame suspension so the upper 'A' arm will slide inward at the upper mounting points. Get a servo system to slide this 'A' frame system to retract the front retract wheels upward and inward. And the tip of the wheel will act as an bumper. I am not sure how the rear suspension works on the late-model VW but I am sure you can find some way to use low rider suspension system to retract these wheels. As for the boat repulsion system get a turbocharger just use the exhaust portion of the turbocharger and tie the output shaft to a inboard outboard boat drive system. Let your exhaust be your power transmission for the boat action. Get a automotive rotisserie, mount the car/boat and turn it over. Fill in the side walls and bottom of the floor with urethane foam, it is a liquid mix you can get it from boat and aircraft part suppliers. Use this foam to fill in voids around all wheel opens, it will help in floatation. Use sheet foam to connect the front body edge to the hull and the rear body edge to hull. Sand the foam on the bottom to shape the hull, then lay on fiberglass mat then two or three layers of carbon fiber or one layer of carbon fiber and one or two layers of Kevlar. Make it bullet proof. Like I said The technology is HERE and NOW. I want one. Wyn

Sam Welcome to the bradley Club. The most important thing on the GT-II to look out for is the windshield. They were custom made only for the GT-II and there are none available. So do an inspection of the windshield to make sure it is in good shape. If it does not have one or is cracked DO NOT BUY IT. The Yellow one in your link looks pretty good but check the windshield closely for any cracks. Check around for the rear window, you might check with Bob Evens, he may have some. Wyn

WISH I HAD A HOOD THAT OPENS :/ I got a flap. The GTE manual tells you where to cut for the hood, But does not give much for the hinge, looks like it might be the same as used for the front gas cover. Wyn

I would make it out of fiberglass, both cloth and mat. To make it about 3/16" to 1/4" thick it will keep it from deforming from the weather seals and would help it stay sealed. Every time you double the thickness of the fiberglass cloth it becomes 8 times stronger, That is why home built aircraft builders use fiberglass cloth and foam between them. Strong and very light.

Oh, that's good to know. Over $30 just for 1 lens on ebay. I'm not doing that. Just got the blue dots today. Thank you Wyn. Any idea what the part number would be for the roof brake light? I should ask here before scouring the internet like I did on the tail lights I had never seen the 3rd brakelight mounted like that on the GT-II. Can you get some better pictures of the 3rd brakelight. Also can you pull the light assemble and take some pictures of it so we can see if there are any numbers on the light module. Wyn
