Back from sunny warm CA with the body shell for the GoldWing Trike I'm building now. However having to fix my friends fiberglass seat from his GT, so thought I would post it here. This has the headrest broken off & no where to be found. So made a copy from his other seat seat. Clean up the part & the seat. You need to sand the gel coat off the back as resin won't stick to it. Sand the front also to gave you a good surface to glass to. Aline up the replacement head rest & used 2 pop rivets to hold it in place. You must have a taper on the overlap parts to get a good clean & strong repair. Check out the pictures. Skip20

Yes will be making a kit for the windshield after it's finished. Will need ti trim body some & glass the new frame on, inside & outside. A few more pictures Head lights I'm thinking os using, that may change at any time. Mustang scoops Lowed the motor mount 1/2" Building up the trunk seal lip & building new trunk lid. Supply's to glass Mold for trunk lid. The brown packing tape is good as the resin won't stick to it. ] Foam bracing to hold shape. Trimming mold Inside of new trunk lid mold.

first off....
wow. amazing. this thing is so off the hook, out of this world, oh my god, unbelievable...
here's a couple of thoughts. what about starting a second thread like Skip Bradley GT - SS "PART2", then we can follow your work in chunks, plus it wont take so long to load. there's quite a few pics there.
also, please please finish the GTII. i've got to see it finished. THEN, do your magic on the GTI....
carry on.. big bob

I'm working on the windshield frame to hold the 280Z WS. Thinking it will be to hard to make it a Kit I don't have a 2nd GTII to check it out & after I flipped the front end on mine & it's not the same any longer, can not say it would fit without a lot of cutting & fitting. Sorry bout getting you hope up on the replacement. It's a good windshield to use off the later model 280Z.
