WOW ,after 6 weeks I did some small work on the old GTII. Drilled 4 holes into 1.25 x 3/16 Sq Tubing for a set wheel base of 94.5" Then mounted to the lugs on the wheels. Will need to trims front cradle or the floor to level the whole thing out again. And here is the Toyota Supra front end which needs to be attached to the Subaru Floor plan which will put it down on all four.. The hard part STARTS

Next on the front ens assy. Had to notch the Subaru Floor frame to lower it over the Supra Front end. Got it almost level on the floor & centered . Welded the floor to the front end. Have the correct clearance for the wheel to turn. Next will weld 1/4" plate over the hole of the old Subaru Frame horn & will end on the Supra Frame horns of some 2" x 5" x3/16" tubing I have, to bolt The front crater down. Will add 1.5" or 2" round tubing from the top to front of horns for bracing.

OK, went back to the 2" x 4" x3/16" wall tubing for the front. Welded 1/8 plate over the holes from the Subaru front horns came out. Trimmed the 2x4 to fit them, Drill 1/2" holes to mount to front end. Drill holes to mount the front Stab bar in place. Next will be to figure out the front coil over shock. The front is strong & heavy enough to be picked up with the Lift now. Roll bar tubing from firewall to frame still to be figured out.

Body came down. I know it fits the back, so it looks like 4" - 5" will need to be removed from the top of the Subaru firewall. Also the VW wiper assy. needs to come back out. It's sitting on it now.

Well here's a 1st. Cut about 3" off the top of the firewall & with a little bit of bending the body is down & straight. The lift is holding the frame frame up a little as the front shocks aren't mounted yet. Now the fun begins, fitting in all the goody

OK, trying to install the Subaru Dash & console. May or may not be able to, still up in the air. Right now its to high & give you only half the W/S.

The gas tank fits where I hoped it would. The stock heater/AC units are in for a test fit. Also the brake master & pedal assy are mounted.

Need the re-angle the steering column. Will cut the hole in the firewall & drop it down the lower the mount at the dash. Also thinking of cutting the top of the tunnel & dropping it an inch or two to lower the dash.

Still fighting the dash/steering column & hoping for the best. Dash have been trimmed on the side to fit the Bradley GTII. still about 3" high at window framing. Steering column has been dropped about 1.25", firewall not drilled new lower hole. Still need one more inch forward on the top of it.. Looking from the rear window into cab. And from the door ( not seats being used.) Found these pop up H/L assy in my pile of goody's. The fit is really close less about 1" of the rear cover.

Believe it or not, I'm working on the White Bradley GTII again. Cut the 2"x4"x1/4" tubing to fit in the rocker area & upright. This will help to tie the two frame together. Will finish the welding on this side then work on the other. Rise the car up & weld the bottom into it.

Finished all the welding for the new stronger rocker panel & upright support. Primed all welds & metal & applied body sealer to all welded areas. Now I have to do the same on the other side, then move to the front framing & shocks.

Had to go downtown to get some more tubing. Finished the other side, primed it & added the body seal. Also went ahead & sealed the floor where the Subby Outbach was joined to the Toyota.

Primed the new rocker panels & rear of floor. Added extinction to the front frame rails with cross braces. You may all so notice, had to massage the front corner of the gas tank to clear the H/L flipper upper. The tubing brace is shown, will go from the upright on door area to the front of the frame by gas tank. Shock towers & mounting the shocks next.

Screwed up on the left side frame brace, no room got the wheel to bounce! So I lower the hoist down to riding height & worked on the right side to see what I would have to do on the left. Got it right so back to the left side, cut it off & made the mods so the wheel will bounce. Added the Subaru Body to frame braces. OK, guess now I will have to do the shock mount!

News Flash. Left front shock is mounted & hold the car up with about 1" rack to the front. Using coil over shock kit w/200 lb spring. Lower shock mount need a larger the then 1/2" hole it had, so made a new tube with 9/16" ( same as MM ) to use the Toyota bolt. Also had to drill the lower mounting spring bracket to the 9/16" Use 2"x3" tubing welded to the front end frame then welded the upper mount to it. Will show pictures when the body goes back up to do the right side.

Today it's get the steering setup day. Drill new hole to drop the Subaru column down 3" to help aline it with the Toyota R&P. Shorted both connecting U-joints To fir & will weld later. This has been a ongoing work for 2-3 days to figure all of it out right. Next to setup the column inside & weld it in. The A/C & heater boxes need to be in.

I just love making more work for me. With the rocker panel in & the Steering column set, I went & cut the tunnel off the floor just so I can drop it 3-4" so the dash would fit right. You will see that the seat mounts were cut off the floors also. OK, back to sweating to the oldie!

A little trimming, banging & a few cuts on me, it looks like it just may work. Now more welding. Guess I have to take all the work out again to mount the wiring harness, A/C & heater that goes behind the cross bar!

OK, here he is, the crazy Hauole Boy with his BradSubby SK for those that have never seen a picture of me ( don't show the FBI ). horen2tas Senior Member, has been by to see me on one of his trip way down south, so he doesn't count. This has the Subaru 3.0 6cly/auto & Toyota front & rear for the frame Subby Outback for the floor. The tunnel has been dropped & ticked in place. The dash now fits under the body & will stay with the frame when done a driving frame. Pictures will show the amount of room inside with the seat & the 2" addition head room. Me all hot & sweaty. My wife wanted to drive it out of the garage already. Note the arms for driving comfort. Hard time keeping her in the garage.

No violin! Been welding to tunnel back in. And now that I have an idea as to what I'm doing, drove out 50 miles to a Used Subaru Dealer with a Subaru junk yard in the back & pulled out another dash & wiring harness to play with.
