Butt sag is a problem that makes it tight in between the shroud and body. What I did is to jack up the rear bumper a bit to gain some wiggle room. But be very careful and go slow , you can rip off bumper mounts if not careful

Welcome Katt, I own a Gt2 that I love . It is a great car except in the rain. I have done tons work , wic=tch I do not consider it to be. However I do have about 5K into it and I still need body and paint. So as a hobby perfect, mine is my 3rd car .I drive a 69 beetle daily and road trip in a 76 bus. Let us know what part of the country you are in and we can be of more help .

To put the blue dots in you do not want to drill , the lenses will crack. Use a propane torch to melt your way though . I cannot remember the size socket off hand. And with the type of lights they are you can hardly see the dots . Some mods may be in order to make them more visable. Will try to post a pict of mine soon , Steve

I think any fuel you get now has some measure of ethanol in it. At least out here in the west it does . I would choos to remove the tank and clean it as Dan suggested .

I vouch for Bobs shipping methods . Back when I got mine from him shipping was about the same as cost of the windshield .Nowadays I bet shipping is way more . Good luck to you . Steve
