Once you get new gas then would be the time to tune . Then at least that can be ruled out . Points could be pitted as well from just sitting. Let us know how it comes out .

The ICE and Gilmore kits are about $1500 plus. I am trying to rescue an old sysem from my non running GT2. smyrnaguy can you post which compressor you used , I have been researching for quite a while and no one will say the exact model they use . I have kinda narrowed it to a Sanden 505 or a Seltec TM08. Any feed back on this would be greatly appreciated . Cheers ,Steve

I am using standard vw shoulder belts . More show than functional I can see in a front collision sliding right under them . For safer setup a 5 point would help a lot . Cheers , Steve

I personally like raffles. And spectator judging . Points judging kinda sucks if you do not have a ton of money to dump into your car. Just my 2c , Steve

What I did for more headroom was to raise the fronnt of the seat and lower the back for a bit more recline. However if you gear selector is in the stock position it will be hard to reach . I drive with head on headrest and a couple inches head room , I am 5'10" See ya , Steve

If you have an IRS setup you can use Porsche 944 trailing arms for I think it about 3 inch wider track . Then you will have a Porsche bolt pattern . That is what I run on my twoie with cookie cutters . See ya ,Steve

Is it better to reverse the engine rotation or flip the ring and pinion in the transaxle ? Corvair power has got to be really cool .
