try www.craigslist.com . I found a number of owners in my area that I had no idea were even there. one of them is 2 miles away from me tring to sell his for 700 with extra fiberglass mat and resin. its very tempting to get it myself. its the GT on a MG frame that i posted.

I'll post photos monday. it sits a bit higher because it is on a full frame, the entire power train is MG. The old MG engine is clean and sounds great, it started right up when he truned it over. it is in need of work, but its worth the $700 hes asking, extra fiberglass mat and resin included.
No, this isn't mine, it belongs to a guy 2 miles down the road from me. He doesnt have internet so i told him i'd put it on here for him. I'll get his number on here for everyone when i post the pics.

try changing fuel pumps first, then the carb if it keeps up. maybe check the plug wires, if they are touching the block they might be worn threw and shorting on the block. I only say that because when i bought my second bradley, one of the wires was touching and melted threw and was shorting out until i replacd the wires

Welcome to the Club Chad!
Unless you are prepared for what could be a long term project, I would not pull the body yet. start off building yourself a square tube framed ressesed floor, maybe have it taper towards the back. like a 1" drop by the front of the seat, and tapering down to 2" by the back of the pan... this will tilt you back further and lower and should give you about the clearence you need. does your seat have slides or is it stationary?

Mean Green GT 1 is right, the easiest way in a GT 1 is to pull the engine. I did it the hard way and pulled the body, but I needed to do that anyway for other work I'm doing when I have time.

he wants just as much as he can get for it, at least that sounds reasonable as we now have step by step directions with full color pictues of how it can be done.. and all this time we thought it was a fourm post, lol
Its tempting, but too time consuming for me until i get a normal job instead of playing manager at a restaurant.
good luck to whoever gets it!

$22.00 for six issues... sounds reasonable. It Looks like it is mostly focused on Shelby Cobras (maybe Factory Five look alikes too). What do you think of it? Is it helpful or just pictures of a few cars and ads for parts? Yeah I know the main page says it has Technical advice and stuff, but most all magazines say stuff like that to draw you in...

That yellow paint you like using on your parts, is that the "Daytona Yellow" high heat engine paint you find in cans at autozone?
As an observation, with the much added power I assume the subru has over vw, wouldn't the extra 200 lbs on the front end be a good thing to help keep the nose down and give better handling in the long run? I just know my gt would loose feel around 65 (before my brakes began giving me issues, I'm not crazy enough to do it now...) so I now I need more weight in front with only a 1500 in it.

My plan is to get it running and then make it pretty. (I read that earlier.) That has to be the BEST advice anyone can give on here. -also someone once told me "Remember to notice the small details so they don't become a big monster." And thank you mrbigh

If you really want a SBC, you should try to find yourself an old Pontiac Ferrio. Its chassis is already setup as mid-engine RWD. I have seen kits someplace to swap out the original engines for both small and big blocks. At a car show I had been to about three years ago, there was this couple that had what appeared to be almost matching Ferrios. His was powered by a Olds 455 Rocket (Biggest Baddest Block Alive!!!), and his wifes had one of those NEW Corvette engines. You would have to switch out some of the transaxel parts to fit the V8 in, I think theirs came from a Cadillac with a Northstar, and a Tornato... Lots of fabrication.
Well getting past that, IF you go this route, make sure you brace the frame from below the car with square tubing before you do any cutting. The Ferrio has what is called a "spaceframe," which you can check out what exactly that is... only 2 car models have ever used this frame type as far as I know, the Ferrio, and the Ford GT40. Essentially it is like a dunebuggy frame, its not, but that is the easiest way to describe it.
There are tons of ways you can build your Bradley, and they all have pros and cons, and different costs - both financially as well as timely.
Read over all of Skip20s and Dan MacMillans posts and see their short falls (well setbacks) and overcomes. It is a long process, and will test yourself and your abilities. We are all here to help, so ask your questions often, read and learn form what others have found, and good luck.

I would say also empty out the fuel tank if it still has anything in it, do that when you replace the fuel filter... If the tank was drained when it was parked like it should have been, pour a little new gas in after that to flush out any crud. Assuming you are running VW power, check out what engine/trans you have. Dual port engines (thats type of intake, one tube to each cylinder by spark plug hold for dual port, or one tube to each head for single port) are easy to find parts for, single ports are somewhat limited. Here is a singleport and dual port - notice the holes near the center... here are the 2 types trans WHOO HOO I FINNALY GOT PICTURES TO POST!!!

Hey 455, I have some good news for you! I was checking out bradleys on craigslist and found a GTII shell for $300. This may be an easier starting point, or provide you with parts you will need. The ad sounds like everthing is there except the chassis and gauges, it even includes the build manual! I'm tempted to get it myself, but I'm out of space as it is. Here is the owners phone # 1-616-594-4413 And a link to the ad holland.craigslist.org/ctd/3188258610.html

I test drove a 2012 Beetle back in December and it was a lot of fun, but I wanted to wait for a convertible... Now there is a new concept called the E-Bugster, it looks like a chopped version of the 2012 Beetle, convertible, and its Electric. Here is a YouTube link www.youtube.com/watch?v=j5n7yZn2TMEThis has me curious how much difference there is in platform sizes... I know its FWD, and its going to be around $20-25,000+ (the turbo with all extras is right at 26k).
