I have the power window units and have cut them to size. But this is as far as I can go now, I am still looking for the window channel slides or welting. And Now November 1 I go in the Hospital for another surgery. Doc said can’t do anything for 4 to 6 weeks. So I’ll get to work after Christmas. In trying to install this welting in my window frames and it is coming apart. I tried to find a new supply, but running into no suppliers. All the local shops tell me it is not made any more. One local glass shop had the next size larger, so I asked him for the manufacture of it since it looked exactly the same only larger. It is C.R. Laurence Co., Inc. I found it on the web but they sale it in 500 ft rolls. I ask then for a supplier who can sale a smaller quanty. Is anyone interested in any of this welting? Or know of some other location where I can find it. Now I am waiting for a replay back from this Company. Wyn

I had tried to make my own power window system for that little window. It did not have the power to lift it. But I ordered power window kit for flat window Hot Rods. Ill have have some photos of it when I get it done. Reason for the lift kit is with my shoulder problems its hard to work the windows. Wyn

Larry Is your throttle return spring connected to the throttle butterfly valve? This spring could have been broken or rusted and fallen off. A vaccum leak can not give the engine enough air to run that fast. You need that spring to hold the butterfly valve closed to the idle stop.

The door latches are from a VW Rabbit. What year I don’t know. The mechanics part number is: 331 827 505 The catch pin part number is: 331 827 511A The same p/n’s are used on both sides.

All type 1 VW chassis have the VIN location near the transaxle nose cone access plate. If it is not there than the VIN has been filled in, or welded over. There is no other location for the VIN. I had to discard a good chassis because the fellow I bought the VW from, had cut through the VIN to try to remove the shift tube. The state of Ohio would not let me reuse the chassis for my bradley. It look like the valability of the GT engine cover is getting very slim. I don't think it would be very hard to make your own mold for a new engine cover. A couple small sheets of play wood, a plank of 1" lumber. Some Fiberglass mat and resin. Plastic drop cloth. Use the plywood sheets for the outter edge and the center flat area of the engine cover. Use the 1" to make a ramp for the center section and across the top. Use wood filler to fillet the curved section along the top section and the center cover rise. And a little sanding and your mold is ready. Take plastic drop cloth to cover the mold. Cut and pleat and tape around all curved sections, so the resin will not stick to the wood mold. As for technick to work the fiberglass see the Topic: Skip20 Bradley GT - SS. Skip does a good job on how to work the Fiberglass and resin at the beginning of that Topic. This is just my ideal on how to make an engine cover

Anyone interested in a P51 model, its about 62" wingspan. It looks like it takes a 60 size engine. It is assembled and painted. About 2 years ago my neighbor gave it to me before he moved to Florida.
I have not done much with any my other models and P 51 is just in the way. Is getting basement rash no place to put it.

On the Bradley GT2 site, Pete had shut down the Tech forum and Chat sections because of virus from posting raders. Our last Bradley GT site was droped because of a virus. I think this site is Kyles third Bradley GT site. I had a site of my own I shut down because spam raders, they could not post on the site but they over loaded the users data base with web links with crap they were trying to sale. There was no easy way to delete them from that data base. I was getting from 15 to 20 spammers per day so I had to shut it down. I would like to reopen if I could find a new web operating system that would block all that crap or at lease easier to delete them. I would like to see a way we as users of the site could vote them off like the Karma item. Lets say with 20 votes of smite from us users who have at lease 300 posting. Instead make it 250 as I have 256. Wyn

A brand new GT2 windshield can be had for $50,000 or a little more from Guardian. Guardian has the molds.
Two little problem; One - There are legal permissions needed. Two - you will have 199 spare windshields.

This has been happining on 3 different systems, Desktop, Web-book and iPod. I use the web-book the most. Right now I’m on the Desktop I had to login. I reset all cookies and old web pages, reset this system several times and the password seams to held on. But this Desktop would hold the login for maybe 2 or 3 days. So I’ll check this one later. Although The Bradley site does come up faster now on it. I’m not going to worry about the ipod as it is awkward to work. ( fat fingers ) Now back to the Web-book.

For the past month I have had problems staying logged in. I need to logged, but when I go back 3 hours later I need to log back in again. Each time I check the stay logged in block but it is only for that session. Is there anyone else with the same problem? www.ksus-62.net/misc/login2.jpg [/img]

I took my locks to a local locksmith, he called the code in someware in a short time he had the code to grind a new key. I had the locks and keys back the same day. But that is only half the problem, you need a key hole for that wing part. Just setting the lock does not stop the lock button from working. The door locks on the GT2 is another Bradley screw-up. They do not work! I have come up with two designs to make them work. The first design is here the other design requires some welding. This design requires a small sheet of 14 Gauge steel. Cut and file to shape and bend as needed. I did it in paper and clipped it to one of the latches to see if it would work. As you see you need a keyhole for the paddle to hit as locked or pass through unlocked. Before you drill and cut the keyhole get it all mounted and see where the hole is needed for the center pin of the paddle. Good Luck and let us all know how you did. Or if you made any mods. I drew that first lock shield I had in paper to show a little more realistic view of how it should look. Again the placement of the key hole depends on how the shield fits inside the door. Again this is the other drawing of the lock shield for the GT II. This would take a little bit of some fine touch welding to hold the side plates for bracing the key hole. It only uses two of the latch mounting bolts. Wyn

President's Day
When Cocoa HURTS I was eating lunch on the 20th of February with a friend and her 6-year-old granddaughter. She was pretty animated as she talked about school and friends and teachers. As I sipped my cocoa, I asked her, "What day is tomorrow?" She said "It's President's Day!" She is a smart kid. So, I asked "What does President's Day mean?" Waiting for her reply with something about Washington or Lincoln etc. She replied, "President's Day is when President Obama steps out of the White House, and if he sees his shadow we have one more year of unemployment." You know, it hurts when hot cocoa spurts out your nose.

I had a machine shop make me some new striker pins. The one pin I had was very badly rusted. Wyn

That still be-welters me on how to get that carpet down to fit.
