Syngledad36, Is that EZ-21 kit one of the ones from Ron Franchis Wiring? I have one of their kits sitting in the box waiting to be installed when I get to it.

For the AC, I had one on my first B-GT as an add on option from Bradley (so it appears anyway). I removed it so I could run dual carbs, and when I was removing other components of the system is when I discovered that the whole car needed to be gone threw, old heat cracked wiring, rusted out pans, a total mess... So you are on the right step getting the car back in shape first prior to doing AC. The compressor on my 1600 was attached to the engine on the left side (drivers side), and ran lines to the front to all the other components. I would recomend doing a search in the archives on the site here, then check out what some people have done on youtube for VW 1600 AC Here are 2 that I like, but there may be a clearence issue for you... If you get a used system, Find out if it is set up for R-12 or R-134a. R-12 is the older refrigerant system that was discontinued for "contributing to global warming" and not being "Eco-friendly." There are retro fit adapters to convert R-12 to R-134a, however it would be easier in the longrun just to find a system made for it in case you ever need replacement parts. You could more than likely find something that will work on www.thesamba.com or on www.vintageair.com . I know vintage air doesn't have a kit for VW listed, but it is EVERYTHING you need, and its all new. Here is an example of one of their kits -Ok, that was long winded, but I'm not done yet I would recommend mooneyes website for mirrors, here is a link to a search I just did. www.mooneyesusa.com/shop/searched.php?keywords=mirror&x=0&y=0I think i saw a GT-II with these. and these are like what is on the GT on the wheel wells.

- Just a side note, the metal band /support inside was covered over by the fiberglass so you don't know its there unless you drill into it...

My dad had bags and trunk that did the same thing on one of his old Yamaha xs1100s found that there was a metal support inside the fiberglass that the lights were grounded to and it ran around the hole thing including the mounting location. so the lights were already grounded. That is the only thing that comes to mind is that it IS self grounding, and the two wires are for running lights and brake light/turn signals

I'm planning on running the pipes up near the front and have functional side-pipes / lakepipes, whatever you wanna call them. I figure that the exhaust gases should be cool enough by the time they get to the front that it won't be turning the chrome blue, and I won't be burning my leg ;D

If you can increase the size and refine the detail I would love to have some. Maybe also have "BRADLEY GT" / "BRADLEY GT-II" / "BRADLEY GT-IIe" embroidered just below the collar in the back - depending on who wants what... like how the big name brands put the brand logo on the back. Just a thought.
Do you have any pricing in mind, shirt color, thread color, sizes...

Do you have a facebook or myspace account where you could upload pictures? even pictures of the engine and trans would be helpful if you don't know much on VWs or whatever the power source is...

I have seen a GT on a MG chassis (full frame, front engine, rwd) the body stance is way off (looked like top fuel funnycar), the "hood" had to be cut for access to engine - where the louvers are on the GT-II or the dip in front on the GT. the rear of the trans was about where the middle of your femer would be when sitting - petals were custom cut to fit and there was maybe 8" wall to wall for foot space.
I almost bought it, but just didn't have space for it, and already have to finish one as it is.
Stick with rear engine unless you are a fabricating god
VW, Chevy Corvair, Porsche, Toyota MR2, Pontiac Ferrio, ect. keep in mid you need to configure a liquid cooling system if its not air cooled
Just throwing it out there, I know where a DMC is sitting for sale if you want a stainless steel V8 powered Bradley-II look alike.

I kind of thought so, thats how it was mounted on the 1600 when i got it. i've taken that off and will be replacing the banged up/duct taped tin with eithe a new chrome one i have laying around, or i may make up my own. either way the oil cooler is getting replaced with a better unit in a better location

I upload my photos to facebook then I don't have to pay for photobucket.
[ i m g ] paste the link you just copied here [ / i m g ] without spaces between anything.
if the address is from a secure site "https" you will need to remove the s. - anything you use from facebook will have the secure "s" in it.

if you have pictures online right click it, go to "copy image location" and when you insert it (them) here use
[ i m g ] paste the link you just copied here [ / i m g ] without spaces between anything. if the address is from a secure site https you will need to remove the s.
-Also a location would be helpful, along with any information you may have as to powertrain, floor pan condition, whatever you know about it. the better your details, the better the chances of a sale.

A weekend of camping, beer, cruising, beer, car show, beer, rest, come home. For my American friends that cannot handle the Canadian beer too well we will be serving orange juice, milk and Koolaid. But on a serious note it is a great time. Lots to see and do in Niagara Falls. Hotels are available for those afraid of the wilderness. Sounds like fun, but I haven't earned enough vacation time yet for a trip yet. And really "orange juice, milk and Koolaid " You haven't had any real American beer until you have something from a local brewery, forget the big name companies Hopefully when I'm rich and infamous I'll be able to go to more than local shows. But until then, I'll just have to settle for listening to the good times everyone else has, my time will come...

I'm 6'3" between 235 and 250# (yeah, big jump in weight fluxerations) driving a GT1. I am almost too tall for it, or maybe I am and my love for it encourages me to make myself fit... I will eventually make a drop pan to lower the seat another 1 - 1 1/2", or maybe raise the body from chassis 2". It will be a little work eitherway, but it will be worth it. Do yourself a favor and clean it up the best you can, and just take it for a little drive in your yard or in the driveway. If you don't, you will wonder why you didn't and kick yourself later on. Eitherway, try to find some enjoyment from it while you have it

Do you have a specific set of ford or dodge (dodge fits ford, but ford doesn't fit dodge...) rims you have in mind? If your still looking, check out "slotted" mag wheels, they are pretty much universal for different bolt distances. The 14" Keystones on my '76 are on some old Chevy 5 bolt adapters, however I did have them on both my Dodge Dakota and Ford Probe for a short time. just be sure of the bolt pattern size first. I bought a set of 15" Keystone Klassics (slightly restyled to accommodate disk brakes) that are for a larger size bolt pattern :-(
