I mean i can understand a little bit of sag or what ever from the years but i mean 4 inches to big, here s why i'm writing thou whats the best way to cut them to size to keep a good pro finish with outh spending alot, think the sun ray guys need to go back and check the measurements, I'm sure we all would be willing to send in them from are cars then they can use the average size, mmmm really mad right now Ray has always provided oversize plexis replacement .

1978 Pan....1971 Motor 1600.... The Ms and I are having a blast. Best comment has been: "Is it like a Ferrari?" My response: "Sure..It has 4 wheels and a steering wheel..Like a Ferrari!" superbug, I have question for you. I noticed in your pictures that you have the same 15" turbine western wheel rims that I have in storage awaiting to be installed. What type of 5 lugs configuration these rims do have?. I'm still with the old fashion VW small 4. Are the front tires rubbing the inner fenders?, are you using wheel adapters or you did a complete drums change over? Horacio

mrbigh, the photo was made in daylight. The car is black. I'll shoot some more when I can get to the car. I've got a huge dumpster in front of the garage right now because I'm replacing the roof. Thanks. That's fair, I'll keep an eye on the thread news.

Would you be able to provide photographs of other views of the hood vents, may be day light? It's an interesting concept. Pricing?

Planning on replacing the factory GTII gauge panel with a custom panel and guages from there. If the vehicle has a Tach with a perfect glass and you want to get rid of it, I'm willing to purchase it, please. Mine is shatter.

Just got an email from my brother-in-law...the one I did the Camaro for....looks like most of my paint work went up in flames yesterday. Engine fire. Hood and both fenders toasted. Everyoen is fine which is the most important....but all that sanding, bodywork, epoxy primer, 2K primer, paint, stripes, clear work.... 1/2 gone! This is the time for a second coat.........

Few days ago I received my NEW Bradley badges, chrome finish. These are MAGNIFICENT and enhance the the looks of the stylish GTII body. SKIP20 did a great and very affordable job. Thanks so much, minax! You are the man! Today the generator/fan belt snapped, but I was close to an auto parts place. The guy looked at it and said, "We got that one for $8, and a good one for $14." Duh. I got the good one. mrbigh: Never had any of the electrics. It was an empty bay when I got it. However, the electrics technology has improved so much that I believe you would be better off with new parts. Thanks, it never hurts to ask...........

thanks, yeah i have the cd and was looking through it. as you may have guessed I was trying to look at a work around as the only welder i have access too would burn giant holes through sheet metal those are great links though Much appreciated! Hi vallyr, another solution to the mod. I added a 3" lift made out of steel channel, already pre-cut and shaped in 4 pieces for the VW chassis. Readily available from VW aftermarket suppliers for about 100 bucks. This Kit is great and bolts down in a jiffy

Hi Mrbig, Another supplier for the lifters is EBAY in this listing I bought mine from them and are working as a charm. Gas struts are NOT recommended for the GT 1 with Plexiglas doors. The constant pressure will cause them to warp, and also make closing them harder causing the doors to BREAK!! Gary Hammond, Ouch!, I though it was for a GT II, my bad.

I'm considering having a type 1, IRS 5 rib trany rebuilt for a lower RPM and higher speed, freeway flyer type for my future GT II EV conversion. Does any one know of a specialized ACVW trany shop in the east coast at affordable prices? I bet that Jeff Troy has some good information about it. Horacio

Mmmmh.... computers, touch screen, car automation.... you are my kind of pal. So, talk to me and the others to, what type of interface are you using to enable all this activities, I like toys and mostly electrical and better if they are car related. For a while I was using Media Engine softw. in my 10.5" touch panel mounted in the Prius for all car PHEV (Plug-In Hybrid Electric Vehicle) diagnostics and operations and also, part of the entertainment system including GPS on the gigantic LCD display. Did I mention that I'm in the works of converting my GT II (or another) with electric propulsion.....?

You installed electronic gauges in the dashboard? I wish I have an enclosed garage to work in my GT II and lift the body with "brian's" support concept. The vehicle is coming along very nicely.

Hi, Bob, The first custom nerfs I ever saw for the Twoie were crafted by Steve Striharsky. Steve had the metallic blue Twoie with the "can't possibly work but it does" yellow interior. He did all kinds of interesting metal work around the car, including the nerfs and a pair of very impressive tail light treatments. Steve also made the grooved ball (to match my shift ball) on my GT's Sundowner headlight release handle. Great guy, but haven't spoken with him in awhile. Warmest... I was at Steve house about a month ago. He still has the electric blue/yellow trim interior and the car is in mint conditions. So far, we are the only two GT II in Long Island that we are aware off. Great fellow
