WOW, I thought you were just a legend, wasn't sure you really existed ( kidding). Great site, good people, always willing to help a newbie. Thanks for creating this site! Can't imagine what people did for info before the Internet?

Long time reader, just wanted to say I do appreciate everyone’s efforts to share your knowledge and experience, it has been a huge help with my project (GT II, completion target spring 2013). Keeping the spammers off of the site is a key to keeping site fun and interesting. One suggestion, can we do anything with the “classifieds” section to keep it current? Can it be set up so postings expire after 90 days? Or ask members to delete posting after item has been sold? Keep up the good work!

Just an FYI,
I was pulled over by local police while driving my JEEP Wrangler w/o the doors on. The reason was not that I did not have doors but by taking off the doors I had no side view miirror (mounted on door). No ticket, slap on the wrist....

listing for friend, complete head light alignment tool (old school) was new in box, never used. not sure how old it is but I trained on on of these in high school 30 years ago. Not sure if anyoine has a need, might be good for project cars. make me an offer and I will pass it along.

If it is the one I have seen, this guy has it at the Quaker Stake & Lube cruise night every Thursday ( Rt 78 near I-90 exit). I have seen it parked on Cleveland Drive, Cheektowaga (same street I live on and have my towie project parked). Have not had opportunity to reach out to him.

Thanks for the interest and offer to assistance. I do have dash and have gauge cluster but my GTII sat since 1986 and mice had a feast with the wiring, all the rocker switches where brittle and broken (or broke as soon as you touched them) and no indicator lights. I have all the gauges but no idea if they work, I was going to build my own dash cluster with more modern switches and would like to try and reuse my old gauges (I do like the looks of them). I have seen some original gauge sets for sale on the site but not sure if I want to spend that kind of money on 30+ year old gauges. I am also thinking of going away from the “light lock” setup and going with the linear actuator that I have seen talked about in several previous posts. If I go that way I would wire a relay into my headlight switch to operate that. This is my first car project so I am open to all suggestions and advice from those a little more experienced. Dave

kitcarguy: dx1 There is no way to tell what year the body is. The Dataplate (if there is one) will not give you any useful info.
