Heool everyone, just joined, and am I relieved that I found you. I am in the process of getting a GT1 in pieces and will need a lot of help. I have a 74 Superbeetlle that I'm modifying heavily and I'm not afraid of most things, but this is my first "kit car." Soon as I get it home I'll attach some pics, it's barn fresh so be prepared. Welcome aboard Jeff. You do know that you will have to change the complete front part of the chassis right?

Welcome Jeff, Brian is saying that if you plan to use the Superbeetle chassis, you will have to fabricate or buy a standard Beetle-like front end. The Superbeetles have a great portion of their suspension system mounted to the body instead of the chassis. Much easier and cheaper to find a standard VW chassis. Warmest,

I'm sorry guys I seem to have confused several. I have a 74 Superbeetle that I am working on and modifying greatly. The Bradley is a seperate project, and I have a chassis for it. I am also geting an EMPI Imp body in the deal that I"m working and do plan to modify a 71 Super chassis for it, changing the frame head and shortening the pan. I'm in the Winston Salem NC area. I love anything vintage VW. Thanks for the welcome. Jeff

Ahhh there is a massive sigh of relief across the nation. Good luck and just post your questions. this is a really friendly board and you won't find grouches saying "you should have searched for that answer first." and other such stuff.
Although looking through the more ancient posts will give you alot of insight to things. It is sad that decades of older posts were lot to a hacker attack and virus's.
