Windshield nearly impossible...and never cheap. Complete interior...pricey. Basic used motor $750 or so. Windows....well I am not sure about windows.
Pretty expensive & rare car for your first.

Not a 1800cc if it came from a Super (at least from the factory). No type 1 styled cooling systems on 1800 (factory) I believe. Supers had 1600cc...some were fuel injected.
If it is a 1600cc from a Super it will fit with no mods provided you have an IRS tranny.

There is absolutely no difference between a standard and a super from the door hinges back. 1600 is the biggest they made for the Beetle. The 1700 and 1800 are T4 bus and Porsche 914 engines, available in 72/73 dual carbs and different cooling system. They look just like the injected engines below but have carbs. 1800 dual carb 914 engine in my buggy The 2000 or 2.0 liter was only available in fuel injection, bus units have 4 bolt intakes. 2.0 injected bus engine in my buggy. Porsche 914 used them in a slightly different configuration. The "Porsche" 2.0, highest output, has3 bolt intakes. 914 2.0 with bus injection in my Beetle. Not pretty but functional But with the lid closed....... The easiest way to tell if it is bus or 914 is the location of the oil filler tube. Look at the blue buggy. The oil filler comes out at the lower right side of the engine, [beside the lic plate] This is a bus engine. The other 2 have the filler on top of the engine, to the right of and in front of the fan. This was done as the 914 is a mid engine car with no room for a bus type filler. The bus injection system is far better than the Porsche system and will work on all type 4 engines. It is also better than carbs. They will work on a Beetle transmission with a $20 mod to a 72/73 flywheel. A little more money for a 200mm Beetle style conversion flywheel {more clutch choices}If you in fact have an 1800 I will gladly let you know how to do it. The type 4 engine is about 6" longer than a Beetle engine due to the cooling system. They can be converted to a Beetle style cooling system
