Alright, first I tried to hook up the old switch and you guessed it, it didn't work. So I bought a new one. It don't work either. Yes, I tried it with the switch out of the transaxle. For some reason, the transaxle isn't making contact with the switch.
I'm guessing this is a common problem, like the brake switch.
Any ideas?
Thanks,

Well if the switch worked outside of the tranny then I would think its one of several things.
1. Your not screwing it all the way in. 2. When re-installing the wires your not making contact with the contacts 3. Something internal in the tranny is broken. How does the tranny work? Shift right? Especially into reverse? Have you had it under power? 4. Are you sure you have power at the switch? Key needs to be on and 12v needs to be to the switch. Do you have an ohm meter? I would test the switch when its on the tranny. 5. Are you sure your going into reverse? Pressing down on the shifter (or pulling the trigger or whatever) and going down to the left.

It can't be better explained than that. Do you have power at the switch in one side and ground?

jsbptown,
You're the man! I got it using your trouble-shooting steps. My Bradley didn't have any backup lights installed when I bought it. Works now. Another item on the list bites the dust.
Thanks,
