Maybe they should bring it back and call it Cobra. That's about all that appeared in any significant volume. Nice cars, but enough is enough. I still miss the days of VW kits, the simplicity of which makes Bradley cars so appealing.

Hey Jeff I agree with you. I love looking at the old kit car magazines where it was a cobra here and there and vw kits for the rest

That is a special once a year edition for the many company's that sell cobra's. If somesomething is selling wouldn't you want that action along with every thing else !!! I agree I liked the kit magazines that had pictures of all the old kits in it but these kits have done had their time in the spotlight so to speak!!!

The reason that kit cars died is several fold.
1. Increasing government restrictions in safety, pollution control and registration.
2. Shrinking number and increasing price of classic, now collectable, VW Beatles.
3. Increasing complexity of the kits, it is almost as hard as building a real car.
4 Skyrocketing cost of the kits Most will set you back more than 30,000 for everything.
5. decreasing variety of the available kits. 100's of cobras and 3 other ones.
I have gone to the AHAA (American Handcrafted Automobile Association) show several times. 3/4 or more is Cobras then the rest to include all one-off and older cars combined. IMHO it has nothing to do with the current generation.
