Don't cut it. Find a bigger storage place. You will never replace the structural integrity, body alignment and clean finish without a massive amount of work. I have a NOS Jeffries Kyote body, storage solution for me was to hang it from the ceiling in my garage.

After thinking about it for a week, I'm going to cut it into 4 pieces. Not to store it, rather , to discard it. Its too much project to start from, the garage isn't tall enough to suspend it from the ceiling, HOA wont let me keep it in the yard (or in the driveway as non-ops aren't allowed). I have room to park the good GTE in the garage, one other good running car in the garage, 2 good runners in the driveway, and thats it. No street parking allowed either. Yea, I know its a pain in the butt with so many rules, but hey, my cars aren't going to tell me where to live. The silver lining is that each of our GT2s (including my own) will increase in value as there is 1 of 500 fewer ;<)

If you were local to me I would take it off your hands. Dont cut it up just post it on craigslist or even here and let someone come and get it. There are already a limited supply of these around.
If anyone in Florida wants to cut theirs up, contact me first..haha

From what I see of the pictures you have a GTE body. A little more room in the engine compartment. Wyn

The major difference between the GT-II and the GTE bodies is the engine side walls. In the GT-II the wall are larger and attached to the cargo compartment the upper fender to the rear edge between the tail lights and the engine compartment opening. The GTE the wall are shorter and attached only to the cargo compartment and the upper fender. They are not attach to the rear edge as it leaves room to mount the tail lights. As for the front of the bodies the opening is cutout for the GTE. And If you want you can cut it out for your GT-IIs. The instruction to cut out this opening are in the manual for the GTE. Wyn
