I copied the following from a previous thread since it was a bit off-topic and I added a picture.I recently had my brake light switch quit working (well actually it made the lights stay on all the time) and apparently the second one has been bad all along. Haven't got a chance to get new ones and wanted to drive the Bradley. I was sitting in my hobby room and noticed an old A/C thermostat (we replaced it with a digital one) and remembered that they often have mercury switches - opened it an sure enough it had two. Since I have LED lights, I'm not drawing much current and so I decided to make a quick module with the mercury switch, a push button switch (so I could engage brake lights by hand in case the ms didn't work) and a LED, so I would know the brake lights were engaging. Took all of 20 minutes to make the module and about five minutes to run wires to it. It is velcroed to my dash, with the ms slightly uphill. Works great! In fact I'm amazed at how well the ms works, it really is sensitive to deceleration, I don't think anyone could tell that the brake lights are not connected to a brake light switch. Below is a picture of the "quickly made" module: This is a temporary fix and I plan to replace the pressure switches on the master cylinder, but it does work quite well so I plan to keep the module as a emergency backup. Sincerely,

So that makes it a flat state option only? :-)

Since I live in a flat valley & haven't gone the 100+ miles to the nearest mountain, I haven't tested it up & down hills. However, the LED tells me when it is and is not engaging, so I would immediately know if it is not working right. Like I said it is intended to be temporary, but has worked flawlessly on the valley floor thus far. Warmest,

Well, the mercury switch is being put away to the "in case I need it in the future" box. I replaced the switches on the master cylinder this weekend and as expected it solved the problem. Warmest...
