Hey everybody, I haven't been on in a few days, partly because Ive been out wheeling and dealing, and because Ive been applying some of your great advice to my build plans.
I use rebel67 as my screen name because that was my daily driver up until today. I just swapped it for what was advertised as a "Baja Bug" for a reasonable price.
When I got there, I found a mother lode of parts, Wheels , body parts and, best of all, a custom-built stainless steel 2" tube chassis.
Also included were an engine and 2 tranny's, an auto and a 4speed.
Well, I knew what I had in my Rambler, and this guy loved it. Swapped it all for the Rambler.
Now I have almost everything I was needing to a) get my build started and b) put together a bug to drive in my Ramblers place.
Another thing in the deal was a fiberglass Dune buggy body, supposedly never installed before. This wasn't at the same location, so I haven't seen it yet. But, if it is what he says, THAT will be going up for sale. I will post in classifieds when I get it, with pics.
Now, I'm not posting all this to be boastful, my purpose is to find out from you guys if I should use the chassis for my Brad project, or stick with a Bug platform?
Only looking for help in choosing, because I see in other posts where some get more problems than good when out of the ordinary things are done. If Bradley's do better on German platforms, I want to know. This chassis was designed to go under a Baja Body (not sand rail, just modified bug)
Well, anyways, looking forward to hearing your thoughts, good or otherwise. As I was told by senior members, "This is the place for all Bradley things" and I believe that firmly.
Thanks for reading, sorry its so long!
