I'm just getting around to testing my electrical system after piecing together as many rocker switches as I can, and I have a weird problem. Everything works, but not all the time.
I have both blinkers, but when if the headlight switch isn't in the off position, the left turn signal indicator light inside the car comes on but neither side blinks. If I put the right switch on the right turn indicator comes on with the left but still no tick tock tick.
Also, not sure if it matters but I have no fan or radio
I have the big blue book with all the wiring diagrams so I should be able to figure it out eventually, I was just wondering if this sounds familiar to anyone

Usually a bad ground. They can tough to find but I would start off with the systems effected.

Ok, I know you will dismiss this...but Im telling you its a grounding problem. You have a gobble of wires, all connected to a fiberglass frame.......I had ONE loose ground in my tail lights and it caused me 2 weeks of problems.....very similar problems.

If you have two wires on each side for your front lights one is turn one is blinker. If you have single element lights and one of those wires is hooked To the ground for your light thatcis what will happen. VI just did that changing my lights andwas? like wtf did I do.

FWIW, I rewired my instruments so that each has its own ground and positive, and there is no chaining. I also ran a #1 welding cable the length of the chassis, grounding it in three places. That way I can put another grounding block under the dash, one at the transmission, and another at the engine. It helps a lot.

Check what I said...somewherevyou have a turn sig ground to park light pos wire you get ground out of it utility you pull switch then what you thought was ground turns to pos, and everything lights up you'll probably also notice when pull switch taillights are solid bright

Nice job you guys weren't far off. The light connections were just really corroded. I went from 1 front blinker to everything working up front just by cleaning them.
Still no parking light in the back though. Most likely something simmilar
