I am wondering if anybody has widened the rear axles so the tires are more even with body.the centerlines on my rims can't be moved in so tires are tucked under body by about three inches wanted to try and move them out.any ideas?

widening the rear axles would not be enough. You would need wider trailing arms. They would probably cost more than a new set of rims.
Maybe some wider tires and spacers?

You can take a couple approaches. 3/8" wheel spacers, or new wheels (and probably tires) with the proper offset. I think 3 1/2" offset on the rear with wide tires will do the trick. Can post pictures of mine if you like.

If you have an IRS setup you can use Porsche 944 trailing arms for I think it about 3 inch wider track . Then you will have a Porsche bolt pattern . That is what I run on my twoie with cookie cutters . See ya ,Steve
