So it looks like I'll have to get a good running beetle donor with a clear title and matching pan VIN, 'cause what I have doesn't have a title. I'm not sure why I bought it without, it didn't seem important at the time. So I'll be a bit smarter this time. If the beetle is complete and runs good then that should save me alot of heartache. Then I'll get the Bradley body painted since it has no glass in it yet, THEN get the glass. Your thoughts?

Well some Sates don't require a title...just a Bill of Sale. Have you checked out your State's requirements? Do they have a Specialty Constructed/kit car provision in their regulations? Also, can the prior owner help get a replacement title? If not...then a pan with a good title is your best bet. Check The Samba...they often have pans with good titles. Or possibly your local salvage yard.
Doing paint work without the "glass" (I assume you mean the windshiled0 is the best way.

i while ago i bought a bradley body from a guy in pa. no title. i found that the car was titled using the bradley number. id call your local dmv and ask them if you could title it under ur bradleys number. all i had to do was show the bill of sale and do a bit of paper work and they gave me a new title for it

where did you find that number? I hope it was on the car somewhere and not on paperwork as I have no papers

I am in FL but mine is titled using the Bradley build number on the plate not the vin on the pan. The vin on the title is 61187. Eric A
