I need help identifying my chassis! The chassis # is 1122437286. I am great full for any input I can get!

I cant seem to find the chasis numbers on mine. I have the body removed and the interior is completely gutted. No numbers on the tunnel at all. What gives?

They should be there. Right in front of the shift coupler access plate. Make sure all the grime/paint/ etc is cleared off. They are stamped into the tunnel.

Found them today. They are so faint i couldnt see them at all last night useing a drop light.

Thank you verry much Wyn! I needed the help, I found a vin decoder site but it said that it was a 1973 super beetle and I did not think that was correct!
