I am about to undergo the dreaded processes of re-wiring, new brake system AND Floor pans all at once. I have thought about pulling the body from the chassis as to have full access to everything. The blue metal-flake "74 is gutted and ready for the surgeon, but I am looking for advice as to how the easiest way of doing these things are. If anyone reading this can give me a recount or advice from your own experience... please drop me a line.
The wiring kit I plan on using is made by Ron Francis, I am using new retro gauges (or maybe digital?) I'm keeping the stock drums for now and up grading to disk later, but I'm building the brake system a little at a time as I can afford it to avoid a huge expense all at once.
Thanks for reading and if you can, please drop me a line with any advice.

Hi, Bob,
Always a chance that you can be masochistic enough to do the pans or the electrical with the body mounted.
Doing both like that is nothing short of insane.
Separate the body and chassis (assembly manual in reverse), then you can do the pans without fear of lighting it all up when you weld. Flip the body and you have easy access for the electrical work. No easier, safer, smarter or better way.
Good luck and regards...

And don't forget refurbishing the chassis while the body is off. Suspension, brake lines, master cylinder, shocks, etc etc....ALL so much easier with the body off.
And with the body off wiring is a breeze.
Some advice...if you are cost conscious then the Ron Francis set up, while VERY nice, is probably overkill.
