I have an original Great Planes Simulator (took a lot of effort to get it to work with XP, when I upgraded my OS). I have been amazed at how well they have modeled the flight characteristics of the various planes I have owned that are in the simulator. When you can do it on the simulator, you can do it for real. I find the real thing is usually easier. Warmest Regards....

I recently fabricated a rack to keep my planes secure as I transport them to the field in my VW Bus. The last picture is from the passenger side taken through the window. Warmest Regards...

Well after a trip to service for my cx3 heli it came back still messed up. But they did send me a brand new MX 120 and let me keep the CX3. I was not really able to fly the new one either but after a complete tear down on the CX3 I found it had a swash plate that would bind and come apart. I replaced it and it flies perfect. I then bought a new Spektrum 6 channel radio and bound it to both Heli's and now I can fly either without issue. So between a bad part and a cheap radio I went thru hell but came out of it with 2 fun to fly heli's. I can't wait to get enough time on them to get a bigger one. Eric

Eric, Way cool that your efforts are becoming rewarding rather than adding to your frustration.
My wife just ordered me a mini 4ch electric heli (GW XIEDA 9958) for an aniversary gift. My brother recommended it. It is really just a toy, but an amazing one for the price, he says. I do not know whether I will ever go to a bigger one, but plan to enjoy this primarily indoor one (can fly in our school gym).
Happy Flying....

I do have a little 4ch one also and I love it. My kids can fly it and it is very stable. My kids and I love to try to land it on the pad in our Lego city.

I might should change the name to Pheonix because it is back from the dead, but I repaired my .20 Super Sportster which crashed 15 years back or so. Still sorting it out, but it flies well. I decided to make a opaque fiberglass canopy rather than vacuform a clear one. Saved me from having to put in a pilot, dash, etc. Warmest Regards....

I had my heli sent back to horizon and they sent it back "fixed" but still no one could fly it. I tore it down completely in a last ditch effort and learned the awash plate had separated. I replaced it and it flies perfect! Then I got an SR120 and a new spektrum 6xi radio and both heli's fly perfect! Eric

Anyone interested in a P51 model, its about 62" wingspan. It looks like it takes a 60 size engine. It is assembled and painted. About 2 years ago my neighbor gave it to me before he moved to Florida.
I have not done much with any my other models and P 51 is just in the way. Is getting basement rash no place to put it.

Just add a couple extra fuel tanks, get a few guys on the same channel and relay fly it to you. Same way they smuggle drugs in from Mexico.

I got that J-3 Cub that I was telling you about from Hobby 4 Less for $99.99. Two things the write up said that were off a little wing was to be 84" it measures 70". The covering was said to be fabric I think of fabric as a cloth type covering, This covering is plastic. But I have to say the Cub is built up well other than the tail section could use more wood to my thinking. Still going to fly it It takes a 52 to a 60 motor I got a 52 evolution to put in it as lite as it is thats all it needs.

Been a while since I flew gas mostly brushless electric now . My trusty Great planes cub is still in the basement. It's a fun plane with a surpass 70 4 stroke on it fun knife edge take offs with a standard wing span . An ancient cermark Sukhoi 26 with a surpass 120 with a pump another fun plane way too much power. Used to have a Diamond dust with a Os 46 and a tuned pipe let someone else fly it and he mid aired a bird. Now it's mostly brushless Helicopters and the odd ducted fan Warthog.
