Working on wiring for my GT II, and have a couple questions hope some one can help with.
1. when powering up the single headlights do you light both the low beam and high beam when in the high beam position?
2. How are the flip up headlights supposed to work? I have the "head light lock" switch but it is broken is it a momentary switch? Is the light motor power up and down? Does the motor keep the head lights up?

Q1 only the low beams or the high beams are on, not both. Q2 The headlight lift motor is just a windsheld wiper moter with a set of limit switches one to stop the motor when the lights are up and the other to stop the lights when parked. Q3 When you turn the headlights on the light pop up and turn off the go down, lock switch will not let the lights go up or down. You may have seen some pictures of a GT2 with the lights up and not on. users.alink.com/aeolus/B-Wiring.htm

And a response to Question 4 (which was not posed)
Q4 - Yes, trash the system and use a linear actuator. There is a thread regarding them. You will save yourself enormous amounts of time and frustration.

Q4 On mine I relocated the motor and modified the motor by adding a second limit switch inside the gear housing this elimates the two limit switches outside the motor assembly and extra linkage slop. With some new mods I plan to install, the linear servo would be a better choice.
