Good morning, regarding the Speedometer cable, if i place a drill on the square part of the cable, it will register on the speedo Gage.So i know its working. My problem is, the cable can be inserted thru the Driver side wheel hub up to the grease cup. Even if i put in a clip, were is the distance or were do you stop the cable insurgent? Is there a square area in the hub? if so, how can the entire cable go thru the hub, should it stop some were theirs a sguare area for the cable end? Im a little confused since i cant see inside the small channel Thanks Jerry

Jerry, The hole in the grease cap is suppose to be square so when the wheel spins the cable turns. The circlip simply keeps the cable from backing out, I don't think the round part of the cable should be able to extend through the square hole. On my old BAHA, I fixed the problem of an enlarged hole in the grease cap by putting a very small screw between the cable and the cap hole before putting on the retaining clip. Hope this helps, warmest regards....

Now i understand, the cap does not have the square hole, previous owner must of switched with the other caps? I will take all four off and see which one as a square hole. fantastic easy fix Thanks Again ;D Jerry

You have grease caps on the rear? That's odd. The previous owner probably switched the left and right caps. Been there. Done that.

I have also ditched that little clip as well (I had a friend that called them "Jesus" clips because everytime he tried to get them on they would pop off and he would yell "Jesus!") and instead drilled a small hole in the square end and inserted a small cotter pin.

Everyone is right on this one, The dust /grease cap was on the other side. Passenger side! I drilled out a small hole as described on the square area plus a clip on the cable and Walla, its works perfect. What can i say GUYS? you are all great. thanks Jerry
