I'm pretty sure its positive ground but just want some reassurance. Im kind of getting ready to start on the engine. I found out from some research the the pan/engine is a '69 model made in Dec. of '68.
When tryin to start it with jumper cables i have one end pos. on pos. side of bat. and neg. side on neg. side of bat. the the other end of jumper cables i take the pos. end and hook it to the chasis and the neg. end i touch the starter with.
Please tell me if im right, or set me straight.
Also, im sure this is another frequently asked question, about the gullwing doors, is there a good chance finding a pair somewhere or will i have to have them specially made?
Thanks

Gullwings for GT are nearly impossible to find...Some are working on manufacturing, but no results yet....

Since the late 50’s just about all cars went to negative grounding. IF you change that, it’s a good way to blow out all your radios, instruments, Voltage regulators, and ignition computers if you have them. Always Negative Ground on the Brad. Wyn

Hi, Billie,
Last I heard, Ray Tierney at Sun Ray is making doors and rear windows again, and several members had ordered and received them.
The new Plexiglas parts are priced higher than they were originally, but at least they are available.
Call Ray at 763-780-0774 or fax to 763-780-0775.
Best of luck with your car, and please pass my regards along to Ray...
