This is a view from near the windshield - in other words, the trim is at the rear of each louver. These are the vent trims I had made - stainless steel. Each vent has a slightly and subtle different 'V' shape, so it's necessary to take a Dremel cutting wheel to the very center bottom. Cut a slit just to the center screw hole, bend down a bit to fit each one. I filled the little V gap with silver solder. You can mount them, then cut the holes or draw the lines, remove and cut and replace the covers. I've got a lot of these, but shipping the long things - well, I haven't found a shipping tube that fits. Sorry for the lousy picture. It rained, dust blew. I'm off to wash the car now.

Would you be able to provide photographs of other views of the hood vents, may be day light? It's an interesting concept. Pricing?

MJ, Do you have the capability of making small trim pieces from stainless? I need a couple of trim pieces for the Avenger. Basically a large oval for the ebrake boot and a circle for the shift boot.

Actually, I did not cut these. I had them made by www.emachineshop.com/ when they first got started, years ago. I had something like 20 made. It cost only a couple dollars more to make 20 than to make only one, so it's not a great source for issues of one unless somehow that part is really worth the bucks. For the rest, www.emachineshop.com/ is a site that lets you download their proprietary CAD program. You draft your part and it critiques it for feasibility, materials, and gives you a quote for any quantity, all on-line. mrbigh, the photo was made in daylight. The car is black. I'll shoot some more when I can get to the car. I've got a huge dumpster in front of the garage right now because I'm replacing the roof.

Just curious, has anyone done similar vents for the trunk on the GT II? That would be even more visible and really show off the car. I'd definitely buy some of those.
Thanks,
Matt

mj, you still have some of those? Where in MN are you?
I just downloaded the cad software, going to try to design a vent for the engine hood...
