HEY GUYS JUST A POST TO LET YOU KNOW AN UNKNOWN VALUE OF CUSTOM CAR INSURANCE.
Most insurance for custom cars is based on miles driven . Since I don't drive my G.T. during the winter in Colorado I still have insurance. 2 weeks ago we got 8" of snow and the roads are still bad. My G.T. is insured with Haggerty and requirements include being garaged or under a car port. They have a questionnaire you fill out and I talked with the rep on the phone and based on my usage and my estimated value of the car. I got a really good price . I estimated the value at $7k and they told me I wouldnt put more then 2500 miles on it all year. and based it on that. $157 for 6 months FULL COVERAGE. Ive had the car for 2 years keep it garaged and haven't put more then 1800 miles on the car i would drive it more but just dont HAVE TIME ... TOO much work.
In the winter in the garage its in sleeper mode and fully insured against any damage at all for $14 per month.
So I got a letter from Haggerty and they said ... up the value a couple thousand for $10 more and I called, while on the phone i asked about my formula Vee , cause I want to drive it this summer. Haggerty told me if it has a vin number they will insure it even if its disassembled and in boxes put it in sleeper mode . still has to be garaged. cost $14 per month. very interesting !!! havent done that yet .. still thinking about that, A penny saved is a penny.... Checked with State Farm they also have sleeper mode, $14 per month. but not in boxes. and it does not have to be in a garage of covered.

r3fab: Tried some Triumph GT-6 seats, about the lowest seats ever made, and still too tall! Quick answer appears to be fabricating seat backs to work with the floor and padding. At only 5'10" this is not an issue I expected.
