I'm not very happy with the performance of my front disk brakes and I suspect the problem is the single master cylinder.
Can you recommend a dual cylinder set-up? Where to get it? What part number?

They sell the correct flared ones at your local NAPA in various sizes. It shouldn't be a hard swap at all. Don't forget the two brake light switches too!

If using one of those master cylinders along with a disc brake conversion do most people use an aftermarket adjustable proportioning valve?

Most don't use a proportioning valve on a 4-wheel disc setup; your results may vary depending on application.
