Divorce & Pandemic financial doom at the same time is the only reason I am selling my baby. I never that I thought I would, but no choice. I straight up need the money.
It is titled in NY state as a 1979 Bradley GT II. Clean title, of course.
The car runs superbly. The engine is in mint condition, even for a 40 year old car. It is the original VW 1.6L (Photo in Listing)
The gullwing doors work beautifully and smoothly and make people melt.
The color is that camouflage paint that changes from green to red depending on the temperature. It looks awesome.
I have the entire build manual to the car, including all specifications and even cutout mold shapes for things like making new carpets, etc.
The car has a few visual imperfections though:
The front bumper thing has a little crack in it (photo is in listing).
There is a spot of paint missing on the hood, it was there when I bought the car 3 years ago.
The carpet under the drivers side need patching, or even recarpeting, as it is the original carpet and in some places the carpet disintegrated into thin air, or has become patchy. The rest of the carpeting is fine, but even still, if you have the skills to redo the whole carpet, I think that would make the car truly spectacular. It is old and so 70's.
The rubber seals that go under the removable t-top windows are the worse for wear and should be replaced. (Photo in Listing)
All in all the car makes people freak out more than ferraris or lambos, and it does run like a dream, which is all that really has mattered to me.
When I bought the car, the wiring was old, (not sure if it was original), but I had it completely rewired, every single wire, brand new stuff, for safety and just for good maintenance. It cost quite a bit, but it has been worth it, as it hasn't had any problems.
I also had brand new t-top windows made out of plexiglass using the template, they fit well. As above though, the rubber seals get more cracky and fickle everytime I take off the window, so I think it would be best to replace them to avoid leaks if it rains and the car is outside.
I have kept it in a semi-warm garage during the winter, covered in plastic. (Not like it is driveable in winter, you know what I mean)
There are 17100 miles on it, all on the original motor which is still there.
I have been driving it around town past few weeks, it is still purring, as always.
If I have forgotten anything, feel free to contact me and I'll give you any details you need. I have nothing to hide, including any imperfections, etc.
