Greetings Folks, Being new to the Bradley GT and quite unknowable I am asking for help in order to identify a body I am looking to buy. I think it is an early Bradley GT. It has no top or doors. I cant seem to find out how to attach some pics. If any of you folks could help me be sure this is an old GT i would be grateful. As far as I can find out this older body would use a 1960 Corvette windshield which is now missing. Thanks in advance for your help. Have fun, buckshot

OK, let me try this again. The body I am trying to identify has no T top or doors. It appears to be a true convertible that I would think would get a cloth type (Bimini) top similar to what one would expect to find on a dune buggy. I have tried to find out how to post pictures of the body but have not been able to do so. Any help in pic posting would be helpful. I see there have been 30 hits on the post but no one has any information. I need to find out if this is one of the early true "Bradley GT" and not a version of any of the later versions. If I can't put the 60 era Corvette windshield in it there is no sense in buying it. Have fun, buckshot

You really need to post pics. You will get lots of hits then. Follow the link Gary identified.
It might just be a Bradley GT that someone removed the roof section. Often times these are done in truly awful ways which causes the windshield frame to just drop.

I don't think anyone has removed any of the roof section. I had e mailed Jeff Troy who identified it as a "GT". I feel confident now that I can obtain a 60's era vette windshield. I tried to post pictures but the process is one I am not familiar with, which automatically makes it a pain in the ass. I can post by attaching any pics through e mail but when I attempt to copy and paste a pic I click on the image, hit copy, move to the window, and paste is not highlighted. At 73 I will have to find someone smarter than I to show me the way......... I want to say thank to you folks for your reply's and directions. Have fun, buckshot

Greeting folks, I tried to follow the directions but can't get the system to access the photos in order to add them to a post. I guess I am not holding my mouth right. I did obtain the Bradley GT convertible body. According to the tag riveted to the inside of the left front fender well the body serial number is 3 5593 and was manufactured in Minneapolis, Minnesota. If anyone has any further tips on attaching photos to the posts please let me know. Have fun, buckshot

OK, I'll take some pics of the body on a trailer I use as a shop cart. I will have to find my camera tonight and start a photo shoot some time
tomorrow. Thanks for your help.

It is a Bradley GT that has had the roof taken off, the headlights and tail lights hacked into etc.

jspbtown, Thank you for posting the pics. This body was pulled up out of the dirt where it had sat for ? The data tag was located on the inside of the left front wheel well. The comments so far have been less than exciting. I cant expect much for a hundred bucks. I must admit it is a basket case but then again I started my 32 Ford street rod pickup many years ago and now it is my goodest bestest ride. When I got it there was nothing but a bare cab, two doors and a few bullet holes sitting on a pallet. Have fun, buckshot

Don’t be discouraged. It’s fiberglass so anything can be fixed. The roof structure may be the most difficult IF you intend to replace it. But it looks just fine as an open car. I’m sure with a little patience you can make something very cool out of it. Keep us posted. And thanks for the tag location. I already looked there but I may have missed it.

Im new to bradleys. I just bought 2. One just a body and 1 a body and floor pan and all of the parts to get it running again! Working on remaning the frame to put a bigger liquid cooled engine in it...curious if anyone here has done that..content://media/external/file/36366

Check out Skip’s page. skip20corner.com/Bradley_GTII_Kit_Cars.htmlNow he went mid engine which adds a whole new level of complexity. If you retain rear engine then radiator mounting is your biggest problem. There isn’t much room up front. I would suggest putting the radiator at the very back in place of the engine cover.

Yes it "can" be done but it is labor intensive, expensive, and ultimately a waste of money. Its not just like bolting up a water cooled motor and off you go. There are LOTS of things that need to be worked out in spaces that really just don't exist.
Like I said...it can be done...but you will likely lose interest well before you finish it so don't spend too much $$.

I too am considering water cooled power. Subaru is the way I would likely go. They make a kit for about $550 to mount the Subaru engine to the VW transaxle. My gut tells me to go turbo for max power. But the VW Beetle transaxle won’t take that for long without switching to a bus unit (another expense). So I would probably do non turbo. It’s still going to have better than three times the power of the original VW motor. In a 1600 lb car that is going to be fast regardless. After looking more closely at the body tub, I would consider locating a small radiator with an electric fan behind each front wheel. There is a considerable amount of dead space there. Plus it doesn’t involve cutting the body. Any thoughts?

Seems like a spot for a lot of dead air in that location. Plus what ever air would be moving there would be going right toward the passenger compartment which might make it awfully hot.

And that’s a real problem down here anyway. I thought about cutting out the side outriggers and letting the air flow straight through to the rear wheel arch.
