Has anyone ever put doors from a GT2 on a GT? Or maybe someone has some ideas on how it could be done. It looks like a sweet idea...but I have no clue where to start....

After seeing Al's, I have planned on doing it with mine and have talked to him about it. It's not nearly as simple as you might think. You will need the doors AND jams from a GTII. You'll also need the roof section between the doors. The one thing you don't even notice about his car, is that it's been widened. With the GTII doors in place on a GT, they are about 8 inches wider than the GT.
He widened his car by building new side panels. I was going to look into narrowing the roof between the doors, and maybe chopping the doors on the top and sides. The only problem with chopping the doors is that it will shrink the door opening itself, possibly making it to small. So that will take some experimenting.
I have a GTII that is in really rough shape needing lots of body repairs. I plan to use that, but may look for the part from another car when it actually comes time to do it. I hate to cut up a car, even a really beat one.
