Hey gang! Got a 72 gt2. Looking for a little help on what i should be looking at to fix this. I know its an ball joint beam. I have disk breaks in the front. I have been looking at jbugs and they seem to have two. One lowered and one thats 2" shorter. Thoughts on what i should be looking for? Anything that should be replaced as well at the same time? Thank you! Working on getting her road ready for the summer. She has been barned since 85.

I'd stick with a stock beam but I have limited imagination. While at it put in a new damper and stock rag joint (don't go urethane). Rebuild your calipers, replace the wheel bearings and seals and since you will have the beam out open the tunnel end, pull the shift rod and replace the shift bushing. There is no better time to do this and you will not regret it.

I'd agree with smyrnaguy I have a stock one with disk brakes , 195 60 15 tires and they rub the headlight buckets just a bit when I turn all the way, so a shorter one might really rub

Get a bare beam with Avis style adjusters already installed. Then just swap over everything you have. Replace parts that are old/worn
