Hello, long time no see.. I continue restoring my '68 GT, already drove it and it goes nice and smooth. I'd like to ask you two questions:
1. I found that the body was not bolted to the floor. I must lift the body at least 1-1/2" above the floor, to get more space while sitting inside, so my head won't touch the roof. So there is a gap of 1-1/2" (see photo) - what can I insert into this gap? It should be flexible, so I was thinking of a tick-wall rubber hose (like a sand blasting hose), but a 3/4" thick hose wall is too thick. So may be two hoses, one above the other? or do you have any better idea?
Also - how many bolts should I put? do you think that 8 bolts (4 at each side) is sufficient?
2. There is a decorative fiberglass cover over the headlight (see photo). Does it need to be glued? obviously not, because I need to get access to the inside. So how is it connected without falling off?
Many thanks for your help!
Talmor

No photos.
Why do you want your spacer to be flexible? I would suggest composite decking material. Easy to shape and form. Won't rot. And is very stable. I believe I posted a bunch of pictures here in the past.
I would say 5-6 bolts per side.
No idea what cover you are referring to.

I will try again tomorrow. not so user friendly.. need to upload the image somewhere, then find a "direct URL" and copy-paste it.
