Hey All, Hoping to start working on my New GT this weekend. I need to get at the coupling between transaxle and motorcycle engine. Previous owner pretty much said I'm on my own so it is what it is. My guess would be to disconnect steering wheel and remove bolts between body and frame and open it up like a clam to start. Sounds simple but I would love some advice from you experienced guys. Work smart not hard is my moto .

Ok, Previous owner told me to open it like a clam to remove the rear engine assembly. Sounds simple enough I just want to clarify as I've never assembled or dissembled a GT Bradley kit.
To separate the body from the frame I need to do the following ? 1) Disconnect steering column (up front near steering box ?) Remove front wheel to get access ? 2) Remove bolts that run along inside of thingypit on left and right side ? are there any other bolts ?
Thanks in Advance Jeff

Everywhere the body touches the chassis.

What agt2nvpa said.
Lemmie tell you, that is one slick setup. Probably better than most VW engines you could put in there. Lotus used a motorcycle engine for a while.

Thanks MJ ,
I have it all apart now. The coupling that slides over the input shaft is stripped. I think I am going to ship out both parts to Rancho for a "custom" HD setup.

Congratulations. I have a custom built Rancho transmission. They have good stuff, do excellent work. Good luck!
