Kitcarguy got your message on the stripes, didn't know which board to go to since I'm still new sorry. I'll buy Bradley GT stripes for each side in gold and just Bradley GT for the back. 3 emblems in gold when you get them. I sent you my email and tel#. Also I'm posting a video of the Bradley GT arriving on the trailer on you tube under 1976 bronze Bradley GT. Thanks.

Hey to cocacoladodge. The Bradley GT I bought only has 700 miles on it. Original tires from Montgomery Wards. I've been waiting to find one completed. It seems like there are so many unfinished or just wore out. I hope it's a Barn find and an unregistered Bradley GT on the Bradley register. It sat in a garage covered in junk for 30 some years. The old guy died and didn't get to drive it but, he deserves all the attaboys.....

This is the only way she knew how to upload the pictures. If anybody knows any thing about this BRADLEY GT let me know. It looks like it has a Bradley kit ordered rear engine cover for a corvair engine. Same gelcoat as the VW engine cover, which I have. 5 lug wheels all around. VW seat pans already replaced with lowered fiberglass pans. The Corvair engine is an RN code, which is the (SPHE) Special High Performance Engine 140 hp and a Holley 450 cfm Carb, Headers and Glasspacks. Sounds great. It came out of a garage in a very bad neighborhood in Peoria, Ill. The guy that built this car knew what he was doing. I only wish I knew who he was. Any History known on this car would be Greatly appreciated.

Hi Jack, Welcome to the Bradley club! I don't know any history on the car, but it looks really good in the photos you linked to. Are you also located in Illinois? Gary Hammond,

I was wondering if I should put the stripes on it or leave it anonymous. I don't know what the guy who built it intentions was for this car but, I think it deserves the badging. Maybe he just never got to it. My wife says I'm over thinking this. Did every year come with a different stripe kit or was there only one for the GT. What were the original colors of the stripe kit. Were they ever meant to have a Corvair engine by Bradley builders or was the rear engine cover an option. I'm 51, remember seeing these cars at car shows. Are the front turn signals Hella like the mirrors. The European bikes had them on the ends of the handlebars. Will the questions ever stop Lol.......

Hi Jack, I live in Riverton, Il. About 4 miles from Springfield. My wife and I lived in Riverton the second year we were married ........... back in 1968 - 1969. But we have lived in Macomb, IL from 1971 to present. (I'm 74.) I think there were three or four different versions of the stripe, and were either black or white depending on color of vehicle. (Not sure if there were any other colors available or not.) The 1979 limited version was a white body with special blue decals and stripes. Most of the variations in the kits were running model changes and not actual yearly model changes. So except for some pre-1976 and 1976-on changes, it's nearly impossible to figure out the year of manufacture. And if your kit has a serial number, no one I know of has been able to relate it to any code that would reveal the date of manufacture. I think Jeff Troy's CD may have more information about this. As for the cover for the Corvair engine, I have no clue whether it was available from Bradley or not. Again, Jeff Troy may know the answer to this. My car had "lollypop" front turn signal/parking lights mounted on the bumpers, but the pre-1976 ones had small ones like yours mounted in or under the front openings beneath the bumpers. I didn't like either, so mounted different rectangular ones in cutouts I made in the front fenders. I don't have any badging on mine, and am constantly asked "what is it". Or even "what year Vette is that?" Makes for lots of interesting conversations when I tell them its a "slightly modified ACVW with a body kit." You wouldn't believe how many people go out of their way to check it out or take pictures of it. Gary Hammond,

HEY Garyhammond, I saw your red car and it awesomely clean. I think I am going with the sequential strip light on the bumper bar. Won't hardly be noticeable and give the car a cleaner look. The lights are covered in nickel so won't hardly be noticeable. Plus the rear strip light 3 Rd brake.

Gary Hammond, I appreciate all the info on the car, that was great info. Donnie, I sent you a message on the stripes. Also I do have both side gull wing plexiglass doors and back plexiglass window slight scratches but I can buff them out but, they'll be put up into storage after I heatform a set of TTOPS out of bronze translucent plexiglass and use the hardware and slides from the original doors.
