Hello everyone. I have been poking around the forums for a little while now and I haven't seen/heard anything about anyone's stereos. Anyone have any cool custom stereo modifications? I would love to see some pictures. Subwoofers to me would seem to pose an issue when coming to placing them in the car. Would anyone like to share their insight? Pictures would be the best.

My system was installed during a major rebuild in 1994, so all the equipment is dated. Still sounds good though, and all the gear and hookup diagrams are on the CD.
My head unit mounts in the wall next to the driver seat. The EQ and one 6x9 four-way speaker are below it. Another 6x9 is on the passenger side, and two Kicker 12" subs are in the rear side panels. The amps and CD changer are in a floor compartment behind the driver seat (matching the battery cover on the opposite side).
Placement is always personal choice, but I've never seen a better -- or wow-factor cooler -- location for the head unit in a GT.
Regards,

I just put a new stereo setup in my car, nothing too elaborate, but looks and sounds good. I installed a Sony Xplode 6x9 behind each seat on the side wall. My head unit is also Sony xplode and I fabbed a box to hold the head unit that sits ontop of the tunnel just in front of the rear seat. It's not super convenient but it keeps it out of the way and looks clean. This setup is more than loud enough. I'll upload some pics when I get a sec.

I put a rather modest stereo in mine, but have a big speaker box behind the seats. I had the box and decided that the space was pretty well inaccessible with the roll bar and high seat backs anyway, so I put it in. The following link has a couple of pictures of the installation. www.kcsnet.com/~stevenr/bradley/list12.html
