Hi Syngledad, A super beetle won't work without major modifications, as the Bradley body won't mount the front struts. You need a regular beetle. The floor pan has to completely contain the front suspension. It is possible to replace the front frame head, but that requires cutting, welding, and very good alignment of parts. Gary Hammond,

Syngledad36, You are kind of like me, get excited about a item, need to get it before someone else takes it, and jump the gun without proper investigation. Unless you are a VERY good mechanic, the super beetle is not what you want. What Gary Hammond said. Sorry.

Super Beetle has a McPherson strut front suspension (coil springs and shocks in one unit) while a standard Beetle uses a torsion arm front suspension

Hey syngledad36, here's a few pics that might help out Super Beetle suspension: Standard Beetle suspension (there's 2 types but they look similar): The standard beetle suspension setup is attached only to the chassis, making the kit car body swap easy since all you have to do [in theory] is pull the original body off and fit your kit body in its place. The super beetle suspension attaches to both the chassis and the body. This means that any kit body would need precisely placed and reinforced mounting points to receive the top end of the struts. The GT2 body was never designed with suspension mounts, so it would be a major undertaking to modify it enough for it to work with the super beetle parts. As for you auto trans., all I know is they're fun when they work, but parts are a bear to find. Hope that helps solve your puzzle!
