What kind of motor would you recommend? b. How much would it cost? c. How much the window replacement would cost? d. Is the build worth it? denver.craigslist.org/cto/5056843989.html

Hi Notsure, To answer your questions in order: a. .......Air Cooled VW type 1 engine b. .......$150 used to $3500 new depending on what you can find c. ....... Windshield is not available d. ....... I wouldn't spend a dime on it This is not a "decent project car" without a "decent" windshield. The windshields were special made for the GT II and are no longer available. Nothing else will fit without major plastic surgery. Look for a GT instead. They use a Corvette windshield. Gary Hammond,

Gary is, of course, 100% correct. Keep looking. No windshield equals not worth anything other than parts.
And a suggestion from me....before you buy ANY kit car get in and drive it. You might not fit. The driving position on kits is usually not good.
If you want to find something cheap & unique....consider a nice fiberglass dunebuggy. They are cheap and easy to build. They are fun to drive. And they get lots of attention.
Ohh...last thing. VERY VERY smart for a 16 year old to come to this board and ask those questions. Many people (adults and kids) would have bought first and asked second. Your maturity just saved you a boat load of aggravation and cash.
