Anything can fit...with the right amount of skills.
That swap would take a HUGE amount of fabrication skills. You would probably need to make an engine/tranny adapter. You would have to design the frame supports and motor mounts. You would have to design a cooling system from scratch. You would have to modify the body to fit the engine. You would have to create a functional exhaust system that would work with the computer controls. And a lot more that I can't rattle off the top of my head right now.
Basically you would run out of money and/or ambition before it ever saw the road.

Often thought of doing something with an SR20 or RB25 but I just do not have the patience haha. To do what you want to do would be a huge project and not worth the effort if you ask me

The beetles nowdays have 4 cyliner with and without turbo, and a 5 cylinder. The 5 had the same head as the Audi 10 cylinder, and the Audi turbo will fit but will void warrenty

Would a new bettle engine v6 turbo fit in a 1977 Bradley GT 2? Like they say "anything is possible with enough time and money". That said there are two ways to do it. Make an adapter to fit the engine to the stock VW transmission and then build the necessary mounts, exhaust, etc. to get it to run, or build a new chassis and use the whole new beetle engine and transmission unit mounted transverse. Either will be expensive and time consuming. I can make the adapter or a whole frame.

Still leaves the fact that the newer beetles have 4 cylinder, 4 cylinder turbos, and the inline 5... no V6 in the beetles. But yes I agree the new engines are pretty bad @$$ fast. you will want to switch the brake system over as well as the power to weight ratio will be psycho out of wack. defanitely add more weight to the front end.
