Alright, if you read about my incident at the tireshop with my gullwing getting broken, then you know how upset i was. I talked to my insurance company, and my agent told me the tireshop is responcible and they have insurance to cover it. called Belle Tires corp office and left a message as to what happened, and got a call back. They willl be getting me a new gullwing from Sun Ray, however they just need a part number for the drivers wing.
~ if anyone knows the part number, please let me know.
We all know Sunrays rep, but dealing with a big company like Belle Tire and Thier ins co, i may see good results.

Wile I am not 100% positive I really doubt that Ray would have a "part number" for his gulls. I am sure its just "left or right? Tinted or not".
And don't forget to get an "estimate" from somewhere to fit the gull. That should be part of the repair paid for by the insurance company Whether you decide to do it yourself or not.

Hi Bob, Jeff is right on the money with his answer. I've purchased both gull wing doors and twice ordered the rear window from Sunray over the phone with only a description. I.E. right, left, clear, smoked, short, long etc. He doesn't use part numbers and only takes orders over the phone. Every new piece of Plexiglas from him is oversized and will have to be trimmed to fit your particular car. Used pieces from someone else's car will be already trimmed and drilled to fit his car. It will not fit your car correctly and likely can't be used on your car. Buy only new, and factor in the cost of fitting to your particular vehicle. Gary Hammond, PS ...... It's also possible to repair them with stainless steel sheet when they break in the usual manner. I did a temporary repair on mine over ten years ago and am still using the " repaired" doors. They are stronger than they were originally and even provide me a little shade. I have a new spare set I'm keeping back just in case I ever need them. The repair is less expensive than replacement, but does alter the appearance of the vehicle somewhat.

I hate to be debbie downer over here but there are people out there who have been waiting for doors from Sunray for over a year and they will not return their calls. They paid for the doors and now there is radio silence.
Good luck but be careful

Thanks everyone, I figured it would be simple like that without part numbers. There are a couple good glass shops in the area, they should be able to trim the window down. I hadn't thought about that factor or cost, I'll be sure to pass that on to the person I'm dealing with from the corp office. And yes I know Sun Rays rep as well as anyone, but that is dealing with provide individuals instead of with the insurance company of a major business. They may get the lead out and follow thru with the order. I hope. As a backup plan, I ordered this stuff my dad had told me about to fix the plexi. He was in school when plexiglass first came out, and they did a lot of experimenting with it. Anyway this stuff softens the plexi by chemical reaction, then you have a couple minutes to press the plexi parts together before it begins to solidify again, and is water tight, He had made a couple fishtanks with it. Well hope it works out.

If it was me i would have a fab shop quote making a set out of stainless sheet. I made a set for my car by hand to replace the busted stock ones. Paint it to math the car or leave it nice and shiny. Wont have to worry about it getting broken again. And wont have to worry about not getting it done in the first place.

Can you take a better shot of what your gulls look like on outside and inside just for reference. That could be an option, but i believe i may have it covered depending on how things play out.
